Nile Rodgers gets a lot of credit for his work with Sister Sledge, and rightly so, but let's not forget Bernard Edwards, his partner & Chic bassist, who co-wrote many of the hits. His bass lines were amazing! Respect to them all.

Hard to believe this is over 40 years old. It truly is timeless, sounds as good today as it did back then. I can't believe this only made #1u7 when first released as a single, maybe as it was the third single from the album people were purchasing the album instead by the time it was released. WAS a big hit here in UK both in 1979 and again when remixed (BADLY!!) in 1984. I consider this 1979 track to be one of the greatest achievements of the entire Chic Organisation!. It used to and indeed still does PISS ME OFF that Nile and Bernard decided to fade the track @4:42 just as Nile begins to SERIOUSLY open fire with his guitar!!!.
