Just because Janelle did the bookkeepping doesn't mean she had access to the money in the accounts. I used to work for a CPA and every month I would do the bookeeping for several of ours clients. It's recording how much income was received and categorizing the expenses: fuel, rent, utilities, etc. It didn't mean I could get a penny of the money. It was kind of fun, but repetitious.

Yes!! I kept the books for my old boss at a mechanic shop. I wasn't on any accounts though and even though I could deposit money and make transactions for the business didn't mean I personally had access to his money. The only person allowed to pull cash out was my boss. And if I had messed around and tried to steal any money there would've been record of it and I wouldve gotten busted. People can keep the books without stealing or without having access to the money. Before I was the secretary and able to make transactions I was the secretary assistant and kept the books but the secretary was the one who had the ability to make transactions and deposits to the account. I just recorded everything for her. Just because jannelle kept the books does not mean she had access to the money. And even if she did have access it doesn't mean that she abused that ability because shes smart enough to know she would get caught and it would piss off the rest of the wives and kody for dipping into the money without their knowledge. I highly doubt she was underhanded about the money. Kody was too controlling for that to happen. Kody screwed their money situation up all on his own. Well.. excuse me no, he and Robyn did. Lol!

Which Kody told Meri no she could not have family money for her business. In season one Christine asked Cody for money to go see her sick Dad and Cody told her no she would have to save money out of her family food budget. Cody told Christine he would not pay for Ysabels surgery. But Robin had never been told no. Robin had a nanny for 14 years but no job. The big house with no job and constant shopping with no job. As an accountant, it makes me laugh that Kody and Robyn never thought anybody would know where the money went. You simply do bookkeeping. You take the bank accounts and see where the money was spent + look as ATM withdrawals and cash withdrawals and that’s normally gonna tell you all you need to know. If they can’t account for the cash witbdrawals and ATM withdrawals and how that money was spent, and or took large amounts of cash withdrawals, then that’s a major red flag. I’m assuming that’s what Kody and Robyn did a lot of.

It's not difficult to determine who spent what. It *can* be dangerous to leave a narcissist. It is usually better to silently leave, and let them find out after the fact. Narcissists are desperate to keep control. Tell them you're filing for divorce - they'll file first, and make outrageous claims about you. If they can't have you - they will destroy you.
