Was rereading vol 8 as nightstand reading and I just went through the scene (S2E6 territory, before she suggested that Zanoba should get a slave) where she thought how her married life with Rudeus would be, and she resolved herself to be the mediator between all the wives he'd get. Some info: Norn (as well as Zenith) were raised as Millis followers, that's why Norn was against the second wife thing so much. Is good they showed her holding hands with Roxy at the end so people could know they're cool after a while.

They also live with him, they most definitely have a say in the matter. You become an adult at 15 in this world, Norn and Aisha are like 13 while Rudy is 17, they’re borderline almost considered adults at this point. Their say on this topic definitely matters, obviously Sylphie’s holds the most weight but completing disregarding what your family members say in regards to your actions, or saying they have no say at all, when you all live together is insane lol. Especially since it’ll affect them as well as well as their sister in law?

For Elinalise, it was when Paul helped her out and pulled one over on her asshole of a party leader. For Zenith, it's the sword that helped protect her during labyrinth dives, and Paul's constant companion to the end. For Lilia, it was what got Paul to come to her room and take her virginity. For Rudeus, the sight of it was one of the things that got him to realize it's another world. At Paul's funeral, the others told Norn of the quest that got Paul the crossguard and hilt, which were from an ancient replica of a weapon in the panoply of the saint she worships. So that got her to see the sword like someone in our world would see a 1st century Roman iron nail from the Levant. It's not a _real_ relic, but it's a contemporary stand-in.

They were supposed to mention this in the anime several times but Rudy is unable to use battle aura which Paul was using in the fight against the hydra to boost all his physical capabilities, so while he might to good with the sword Rudy doesn't have the physical boost that all other swordsmen have.

Sylphie may have met Roxy but she never trained under Roxy. Roxy taught Rudeus and Rudeus taught Sylphie. Roxy helped out around the village with things like ensuring crops were watered so it's not impossible that Laws or Slyphie's mom may have interacted with her. Laws and Paul knew each other long before Slyphie and Rudeus met one another. By the way, Slyphie is half elf and Roxy is a demon. In the LN Rudeus basically does what y'all did. He speaks to the baby in English and Japanese to look for any signs of recognition. The Princess Sylphie works as a body guard for is not a Greyrat if that's what y'all were thinking of at the end. Luke is a Notos Greyrat. Rudeus is from the Notos line but does not have the Notos name (Paul dropped it). Eris is from the Boreas line. Something folks miss is that Slyphie and Roxy both were sort of raised to nobility. He gave them both surnames. Only nobility has surnames.

And if you were wondering, Sylphie is 1/4 elf (Elinalise's son was half elf/human), and the rest is human/beast folk (we don't have a lot of info on her mother)

17:10 "Rudy need to get better with the swordplay" Problem is, he can't. He's Intermediate in Sword God Style and Beginner in Water God Style, but he can never advance to Advanced in either. Where other warriors and swordsmen use mana to strengthen their bodies, Rudeus can't do that. Paul demonstrated this with his ability to cut a five-foot boulder in twain with a wooden sword and dash around the room against the Hydra, Ghislaine showed this with the Longsword of Light, and Eris has been kicking all kinds of ass with her abilities. Swordsmen are superhuman when they get above Intermediate. Rudeus can never exceed the level of an athlete in that. Melee fighters in that world are just too OP. Ghislaine did think he'd go far in North God Style, if he'd mix his strategic thinking, swordsmanship, and magic.
