I think that the 'secret' that Kody and Robyn have is that they were involved with each other long before the show ever started. I've read reports that they knew each other for years and I think that is one thing that Robyn holds over Kody's head - that she has proof they were involved with each other long before they said the were.

Doesn't anyone but me remember when Janelle was living in her camper on CP, and Kody came by to look at her floor plans, and he was hauling a gigantic trailer behind his truck with 2 or 3 huge logs on it, and she pointed to the haul and said, "What are you doing with that?" And Kody just waved her off giving her a non-answer. He was hauling trees to be sold then! He is definitely selling that expensive lumber, and he and Robyn will refuse to sell CP until it is stripped of all trees. Only then can Meri and Janelle hope to get any of their money out of CP.

I’m honestly surprised that the previous owner is even allowing them to cut down those trees while CP still isn’t paid off. If they can’t build on the land while it’s still under owner financing, why can they reduce the value of the property by cutting down all those trees?

I think Kody emphasizes the uniqueness of his relationship with Robyn to keep putting out into the ether that she needs to remenber it too and that she is bonded to him... He has to do it... to remind her..like an imprisonment

Yes it’s the same shirt pattern same shirt. Different color. James is right. All of the damage to the house came from kody trying to cut down trees so the interior damage the mold, and all that inside the house, the roof, the exterior damage to the rail and the porch and all of that that’s all done by Mr. Cody and his tree issues because the tree did land on the house and he did cause damage, but he doesn’t want to. He didn’t want to fix it along with the heater in the driveway that all was done by the tree falling on the house. He didn’t wanna pay a professional to do it because it’s expensive. He did it himself and then when it was all broken, he couldn’t afford to fix it so they sold the house as is with all the damage.

I think that's the probably a large motivator to move. He just get's overwhelmed with his half baked projects and wants to leave it all behind. Meri really seemed like she had standards for how she expected things to look and run in a home and if Kody didn't do it then she would take it upon her self to find a solution. Unfortunately, the new mansion seems quite out of date and could harbor more issues for him. He's a bit of a klepto, he's trying to fill the void of his OG family with more land, more house and more things. But there's no Meri, Robyn and Christine to make problems go away.

What James said about Kody taking measures to silence his children is true. I wonder if he threatened to sue Madison so that’s why she dropped the podcast. He seems to only allow Mykelti and Tony to talk, but they are the most defensive of him

So I wonder if this season had to be completely redone after Garrisons death to include stuff we already watched or knew about to: 1. catch up the time line and 2. they pulled the storyline of Garrison and Gabe fighting with their dad out of respects. It really seems like we got a lot of "B rolll" coverted/made in to storyline to cover the gaps.

You mentioned how manic Kody was in that tree-cutting scene, and it just brings home the fact that he seems really mentally unwell. Maybe it's a case of narcissistic injury or maybe it's something more, but Robyn should be concerned for her own wellbeing, and that of her kids. I don't mean to be an alarmist, but he seems borderline something.

I seem to recall during the first airing of the wedding, a scene during the reception where a very " happy" Garrison goes over to Christine and David and is very emotional about what a great guy David is, and how happy he was for them? And, is it possible Garrison was less involved in wedding prep due to his National Guard commitments? Your analysis about Robyn's transactional relationship with Kody and his constant trying to get her attention and " loyalty" was eye opening for me! But these last 2 shows have been clearly showing Kody's insecurity about Robyn's ability to commit to him " as a monogamist". You guys are great!❤❤❤❤

Kids have never asked him to drop robyn to have relationship with him. They simply wanted his time, to be less selfish, and treat their moms fairly. Kody invets a reason for relationship failures that absolves him. He cant fathom tbey blame him directly.

Remember in Vegas Kody told the kids if they didn't behave at their announcement of their MISSION STATEMENT regarding their family announcement and party... Kody told the kids that if they didn't behave that the kids would be out of the family... Why are we now surprised that Kody chooses Robyn over his children with the original wives?

Robyn said they’d be out of the family (specifically, Maddie when she asked, “What if we don’t want to sign it?”.) If you watch there are plenty of times Robyn comes down harder on the kids than Kody. Edited to say that the other wives, for the most part had raised their kids to have their own opinions and let them express them unless really disrespectful. The ‘day of’ was stressful for too many reasons to name, but the photo taking is where we saw the real K yelling at everyone to look at photographer while toting Sol everywhere in front of him like a shield and R’s explanation was the work and not eating. All of the kids for the most part, were just behaving in a manner I d expect from kids helping, dressing in their best but wanted the ceremony over with before they’d started.

Started re-watching from the beginning. He was doing this at their Lehi property. He wanted to cut down the line of (much shorter) trees in their backyard when they were all doing yard work together, and Janelle and the kids were like, why???? He has a weird obsession with cutting down trees. Feels manly to him, I guess.

There is/was a scene in Christine and David’s wedding special when Garrison was drunk and congratulating them at the sweetheart table. I’m not sure if they took it out of the special, and I haven’t rewatched to see, but it was an uncomfortable scene. David and Christine looked uncomfortable. The only two scenes of Garrison I remember were passing out shots on the boat and the one I mention above.

In AZ spousal maintenance is difficult to get, it’s a community property state and spousal is not guaranteed regardless of length of marriage. I got divorced in AZ several years ago.

If you cut a tree with other trees around it. You should be smart enough to know that if it’s that close and that big, they will get hung up. He is so lucky that when he went to cut the tree again that it didn’t kick back on him. That’s not how you get a tree unhung. That tree was probably 80 years old if you counted the rings. My sense with the guy doing the lap dance is that he's like Tony in that he likes to stir things up. He knew that the lap dance would be awkward and embarrassing for David--Christine, too, probably--but also that it would be a safe time to mess with people in the name of fun because it was a wedding and people would be reluctant to cause a scene and ruin people's good time.

the straight razor is the best for fine detail on a beard and getting a clean line. Cartridge razors are not great for that. Safety razor works just fine, but the best is a straight razor.

I think that they are doing the wedding stuff again because of Garrisons passing they probably decided to go through all that feed and put it in where they previously had other stuff. Possibly more on the story line of Kody and the boy’s relationship and the other kids. I believe they are trying to use the wedding as some sort of time stamp to lead into garrisons passing. I’m sure Kody has been horrible for production to work with because the man cares more about his image than anything.
