@@BritHawkins oh… i have been growing my hair out for FOUR YEARS to get this. i’m an actor and a musician. I had to cut my hair all off for the musical Hairspray. and then i found this style. I can’t tell you the endless I have died for this, yesterday FINALLY my hair is the minimum length to get it. I am really curious like what my natural texture is gonna look like because some people have it parted, some people have a lot of hair pretty quickly like I WANT IT NOW! i would love to stay in touch with you and share my journey with you. As a guy, i’ve had my hair made fun of and bashed my whole life. Black people always made fun of it and to see this style and see fellow sisterlocs girls and brotherloc guys have me excited. I can’t wait to be confident in what God gave me

Your hair looks lovely and I hope I'm just as lucky. I will have my sisterlock consultation in January 2022. Some people have complained of dry scalp or a little scalp irritation afterwards and claim you're not suppose to apply oil on your scalp. Is that true?

Thank you! I’m sure your hair will come out fine, if not better 🤗. My Sisterlock Consultant advised me not put oils in my hair, however, she plans to apply oil to my scalp during my retighten sessions. For scalp irritation, I use a “little” SeaBreeze on a microfiber cloth and calms my scalp.

Very nice! How many inches did you start with? I am almost 1 month post! Dealing with a few slipping in my nape because that’s where my hair is a looser texture. 😢

Thank you! When I did my inital consulation in Feb 2021, my hair was 3-4 inches on the sides/back and 5-6 inched in the middle.

@@BritHawkins : so Curvy was this filmed in February. I am asking because my hair is that length on the sides and top ( I had a mow hawk ) I have been letting it grow out for about 3 months. I’m wondering if it is long enough now. Your hair looks nice. I feel a little nervous like you did. I’m trying to figure out if l need to wait to let my hair grow some more or do it while it is short (3 to 4 inches on the sides 5 at the top like yours)
