okay so Chungha competed on produce 101 back in 2016 and garnered a lot of attention for her amazing dance skills (during the preliminary ranking, she wowed the judges with a freestyle dance). she finished the show in 4th place and debuted in I.O.I and promoted with them until they disbanded in 2017 (she even choreographed one of their songs, Whatta Man). a few months after I.O.I disbanded, Chungha debuted as a solo artist under MNH entertainment some other stuff to know about her: -she lived in Texas for several years and is fluent in english -she's a former JYP trainee -she appeared on Hit The Stage, a dance competition program -she was part of an SM Station project with Red Velvet's Seulgi, Gfriend's SinB, and (G)I-DLE's Soyeon (the song they released is called Wow Thing) -she recently participated in a reality show called Running Girls alongside Sunmi, EXID's Hani, Oh My Girl's YooA, and LOONA's Chuu

Great reaction! She has been a soloist for a few years but she was part of the group IOI that came out of the show Produce 101 for 18 months or so before that.

She was in I.O.I (a group formed from the survival show Produce 101). She was known for being the best dancer, being extremely humble and the other contestants really looked up to her as a leader. Her solo songs are fantastic, but Bicycle really took things to another level. I recommend checking out her other songs (maybe in order): Rollercoaster, Gotta Go, Snapping, Stay Tonight, Play and Dream of You. She really ups the ante with every release! She also recently signed with a US based label so the hope is for Chungha world domination 🥰

Great first reaction to the Queen Chung Ha. She consistently shows us just how much of a boss she is & honestly at the top w/ few others as far as talent goes. You’ll love her other stuff & will come to see that she tops her last every time. Lastly, she is very confident within the comfort of the stage but she’ll be quick to tell you that she’s very shy & just like most of us ‘civilians’ out here. Referring back to your comment on wishing you were as confident as her is why I brought all that up, so just know that confidence comes with time & experience so you’ll be good!!

This is her 1st Studio Album and it has 20 songs, including her pre-releases "Stay Tonight", "Play", "Dream of You" which is a performance video and an English song, and "X". X was postponed last year in December because she tested positive for COVID-19 but then, thank goodness she came back strong and healthy after being quarantined. Please check out her other songs and pre-releases! I highly recommend "Play" and "Stay Tonight". And also, she's the one who wrote the lyrics for "Bicycle".

This video is basically a wrap up of her whole debut project, she's had a number of singles and had to slow it down because of Covid, but you can see inspiration from each of her prior videos and pieces. I feel like this song and album is her basically announcing her intentions as a soloist to take over the Kpop and Western world. She grew up for a while in Texas of all places when she was a kid so her English is crazy clear (and a few of her songs are in full English, my favorite is 'Dream of You', which I think is the inspiration for the bit with the stark white panels that has her lift up into the air in this video) and I think you'd guys like the rest of her stuff too!

Chungha started her career competing on Produce 101 and debuted with I.O.I. After I.O.I. disbanded and the various Idols went back to their agencies, Chungha became a solo artist. Interestingly she's a (bilingual) native english speaker with a clean american accent, having spent about half her childhood in the United States of America (and the other half in South Korea) - as I understand it. Her song "Dream of You" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpylcqmGbZqdrMU) is entirely in english, and makes my list of top three favorite Chungha songs. The first song I heard from Chunga (and music video I saw) was "Snapping" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpa5kHejfbCqoMU) and it remains one of my favorites. Of Chungha's song, "Chica" is actually my favorite but there's no official music video, just a live performance from M Countdown (kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH7bmJSXic-EfpY). I’d HATE to be that person who recommends other videos that have nothing to do with the one I’m watching, but as far as the group “kingdom” goes, they don’t have a lot of videos and interviews, but if you want to see their different personalities and such, you should watch their Christmas special video. While I understand that video isn’t super long and there isn’t enough to really commentate on, maybe you could watch it in your free time.
