They are the youngest group from YG where legendary group who have been dominating kpop since 2nd generation like Bigbang, 2NE1, and PSY, for 3rd generation like Winner, AKMU, iKON and Blackpink and now for 4th generation, Treasure . Most of the members have been training in YG for a couple of years and some of them already knew each other even from the japanese members as the japanese members been visiting Korea during summer to train together with korean trainees and then they were put into survival show to determine who is going to debut. They survival show is YG Treasure Box or YGTB which started around October 2018 and ended December 2018. They are supposed to be 2 units Treasure which consist 7 members and Magnum 6 members but if they promote together they will be Treasure13 but one of them left because he think his fit as a solo artist. So YG announced the changes and decided to debut them together as 12 and just called Treasure. Before they debut, they have TMap episodes in their YT channel. This helps them get to know each other better ( although some of them been training together for quite awhile) since 4 of them are japanese so its helpful for them to form a genuine brotherhood first rather than debuting them and they will only perform as a group but not family. And now they finally debut, and you can see them very close to each other and very comfortable. If you watc YGTB survival show and TMap episodes you will love them. They are so relatable.
