I take this as an alternative to Black Planet and cannot make a honest judgement due to knowing both tracks so well. I do however think Hussey's lyrics are class and wish like f**k that they hadn't parted ways. Just think what could have been...

I had that bootleg 7inch called "Victims of the circumstances" with 4 tracks on it. Alt versions of SOM - FALAA songs, with Wayne Hussey (3) and Gary Marx (1) on vocals... Golden times!

I kind of prefer this to "Black Planet". But the lyrics in "Black Planet" are a a lot better compared to this, even though this sounds great.

I appreciate all the alternative demos of the time, but the Wayne Hussey lyrics is whimsy and weak compared to the Eldritch-lyrics. He did a good job of putting the Black Planet lyrics on top of this demo. I do like the more-pop less-goth sound of the demo beats. It would have been nice if they'd released a shadow-album with the same F&L&A-songs but with the demo-sound.
