I meant the early Sisters gigs when they toured first and last and always, nine while nine was rarely played in their set but i don't know why. I saw them in Dublin in 2014 and they played it! :)

it seems they never played this tune again after Gary Marx left the band. He played the the main riffs of the tune, Hussy providing backing. Once Marx left, could be, they stuck to playing tunes that only required one guitarist.

I recorded this straight off the bootleg vinyl I still have, 'Dressed in Black', onto cd. Hence at the beginning you can hear a few 'crackles'. :)

They played it live twice. Newcastle was the practice for the Leeds Uni gig 2 days later. Eldritch wanted to play it for Clare. An intensely personal song for Andrew. Amazing vocal and beautiful lead guitar from Gary. Rise and Reverberate,

Thanks very much for the upload Mr. Marks! Great track by my favorite band, which says a lot because Andrew decided that it was "too much of a hassle" to release new recordings. He should have fought the "man" a bit harder then we might have 5, 6, 7 Sisters releases... That's okay though because the stuff they did put out rocks, and kicks ass even to this day.

Thanks! Yeh! Andrew has always been a moody sod! Check out my upload of Ghostrider, which on the album immediately follows this track. I listen to both together, I never get sick of hearing them. Lol! I hope to get round to uploading the full album 'Disguised in black', Nine while nine and ghostrider were my fav' so I uploaded them first!.

Was Wayne Hussey playing the guitar at this concert? Sounds like it, to me.

@@slemtones Yes he played backing guitar. I believe Gary Marx played the more dominant guitar role on this track. They never played it again 'live' after his departure from the band. After which Hussy had then by default become the lead guitarist, playing for two so to speak, filling the gap, this track got cut from their play list when doing live gigs. Same as the track Marian, was hence forth missing Gary Marxs haunting 'e.bow' sound on that track when played live...Far as i'm aware! ;)

leftfield70 Yep! Sound quality is the best I've heard for a bootleg. I recorded this off my vinyl copy. Gary Marx's contribution captured in all it's glory.
