Sisu (2023) Red Band Trailer Reaction

Hi everyone, Welcome back to Salem’s Cellar.
A trailer was just released for a movie called Sisu. I’ve been hearing good things about the movie so I’m excited to check it out.
During the last days of World War II, a solitary prospector crosses paths with Nazis on a scorched-Earth retreat in northern Finland. When the soldiers decide to steal his gold, they quickly discover they just tangled with no ordinary miner.
So today I will be watching Sisu for the first time.

Finns fought against Soviet in winter war with sisu. 5 million Finn's with hardly any guns against 300 000 million Russians with guns. We fought with sisu spirit and Molotov coctails. 🇫🇮 💪

It's all fun and games until a prospector sticks a knife thru your head 😳 Yea this is John Wick from the 1940s and I'm here for how he's gonna eff up some nazis 😂 Nothing to complain about other than I don't know the date. Oh, yes, "Do whatever you please with the guy, but please, don't hurt the dog!" I guess the sound you can hear in the beginning of the trailer, when that guy's digging that gold, can be some generic often used sound, but might also be a inside joke. The director of the movie used to direct commercials and you can hear the same sound on a Finnish fast food chain's commercial, in which Chuck Norris does not queue. Hear for yourself: "Kun Chuck Norris menee Hesburgeriin - hän ei jonota". The movie trailer you tried to remember, is it Mad Heidi? From the same people who made Iron Sky, I think. I'm glad I finally came across someone to whom I can recommend a Finnish movie Bunny the Killer Thing. If you dare to react to that movie's trailer, for your own sake, maybe start with the trailer 2.

I liked Sisu movie. It is good mixture of good old 80's American action movie with strong Tarantino influence and story about war what is not so familiar to big audiences. It is not historically accurate, not realistic, but it does not matter. It is good action movie, but "Rare Exports" is even better action movie from same director.

I liked the 2 Rare Exports short movies (you may find them on KZbin) and I was fired up, wanting to see the the motion picture, but I was slightly disappointed by it, perhaps because of my expectations. I liked it though, the dark humor and everything. Big Game, with Samuel L. Jackson, was good. But Sisu blew me away! IMHO, it's Jalmari's best movie, so far. But obviously, that is a matter of opinion.
