The Navy Lark was a BBC radio comedy written by Laurie Wyman and George Evans about the crew of The Royal Navy frigate HMS Troutbridge and their mis-adventures. The show was first aired on March 29, 1959, and ran for fifteen series.
Please find series 4 split into two weeks as it has 26 episodes (25 here). Luckily, the missing episode 18 (the Cornish Exercise) has been found and will broadcast on BBC Radio4Extra sometime this year!

Indeed. Price was originally intended to be in the film version but the film's producer objected to his inclusion as "he was gay". Price was actually bi and had two children with his wife.

@@PercyPruneMHDOIFandBars agreed, gay bi or whatever, Dennis Price was a brilliant actor. Unfortunately attitudes were different then which is why many people hid their sexuality at the time.
