We're getting snow ourselves today, hence the inspiration to go back in time to a nicer looking day 😎 Glad you liked it 👍

Another gorgeous day on the water. It was fun to watch Anchor Girl do her thing with the ropes and fenders. I thought I was the only one who insists on the ropes being neat and ready all of the time. I must check the fenders every few hours when they are down and we are out ( we normally keep them up when under way, but sometimes it just makes more sense to leave them down). At least I now know I am not nuts with the ropes.

Yes, I continue to comment to her about the dock lines shuffle she always does 🤣 No worries, as they are gonna be ready for the next lock or when returning to the dock - and a much more efficient approach than many that we see who appear to be sooooo unprepared when docking their boats 🤔

Enjoyed the cruise. Nice day!! Thank you for sharing. We are now discussing line and fender management improvements. Looks like you two have this dialed in. Take care.

That's great, but does line and fender management mean?

Just how we hang lines on the rail like you do and we are thinking of hanging fenders from the rail instead of putting them in a locker like we do now. Little procedure improvements to make each step simple. We find that where things are placed for use can improve a day on the water.

As you know, we travel through the locks numerous times throughout any given season, so having the fenders always at the ready is what works best for us. When crossing a lake or moving at speed, we (Anchor Girl) just pull them up onto the side decks. I've had many comments, back when I was doing my Facebook Page, that the boat looked 'wrong' with the fenders hanging out. I guess those folks just stick to open water cruising - if they even have boats of their own 😉

Once again, great video Paul! Really makes one eager for the start of boating season. Still construction at Bobcaygeon’s lock 32?

The work that was happening there when we passed through was replacing the swing bridge, with no impact on boat travel. According to Parks Canada's website, the work will be ongoing there well into 2023; parks.canada.ca/lhn-nhs/on/trentsevern/visit/infrastructure/kawartha/2023-01-11-pont-tournant-bobcaygeon-swing-bridge

I got a notice from Parks Canada that a contract has been let for Kirkfield and that work should start soon! They anticipate being open for the 2003 season!

The entire Trent Severn Waterway is lovely, in my humble opinion. After spending some time on the Rideau this past summer, we are even more grateful to have this in our backyard 😀

Actually, we were surprised as to how little traffic there was in the areas we visited on the Rideau. As for how far we got, you're gonna have to watch the next video in this series 🙈
