De plus de deux siècles d'histoire relatant la grande épopée de la pêche en Gaspésie, le Site historique du Banc-de-Pêche-de-Paspébiac s'impose magistralement avec ses onze bâtiments d'époque.
Toujours imprégnés de cette odeur de bord de mer, « les murs vous livrent leurs témoignages ». C'est par la voix et les gestes du personnel d'animation que vous revivez la grande aventure des deux plus importantes compagnies de pêche jersiaises des 18e et 19e siècles, la Robin et la LeBoutillier. La construction maritime, le ramendage des filets de pêche, le travail de forge et de tonnellerie sont autant de gestes coutumiers auxquels vous pouvez assister. Des expositions, des scènes d'animation théâtrale, une présentation multimédia ne sont là que quelques moyens mis à votre disposition pour vous faire découvrir l'histoire du développement des pêches dans l'Est du Canada.
De plus, vous retrouvez sur le site un restaurant spécialisé en poissons et fruits de mer, une boutique souvenirs et une salle de spectacles. Aire de jeux pour enfants, camping aménagé au bord de la mer et marina se retrouvent tout à côté afin de compléter ou d'agrémenter votre visite.

Witness to more than two centuries of history recounting the great epic of fishing in the Gaspé Peninsula, the Banc-de-Pêche-de-Paspébiac Historic Site stands out with its eleven-period buildings.
