Imagine this: you are an MTF operative, Beta-7 to be exact. you are told something got loose in Site-64. You wonder "Why are they sending us in, Isn't Nine tailed fox meant to deal with this shit?". You and your team disembark the helicopter, you equip your hazmat suits, you breach the entrance and hear alarms blaring in the distance. The CDC is on lockdown, the O5's are in control room and you are now just outside the coolant room, you think to yourself "at least that is still working, hell be damned if I am fighting in the dark.". You see a red ooze dripping from the ceiling as you enter Containment area-1, you realise why you are here, "Surely not!" you think, "the O5 council wouldn't be dumb enough to....". The shrieking in the distance cements your worst fears. SCP-610.... They tare down the doors dividing Con-2 form Con-1, you watch as your friend is stabbed in the chest with a bone like claw, you realise fire is the only thing that'll save you. "The armory is on the other side of this fucking place!" you hear the screams of more people, they're getting through. You dash for the armory, maybe you can make it. An SD (or what you think was once one) jumps out at you and stabs you in the chest with a bone spike extending out of his chest. As you lay there, wondering why you did this to yourself, a final announcement is declared by the on site announcement system. "The nuclear warheads have been activated, this is a personal message from O5-1, I'm sorry we failed you, but to prevent the spread of 610 we must nuke Site-64 using the Omega warheads, the nuke shelter will not save you, we have already left the site, good luck and may god have mercy on you all". "120 seconds until warhead detonation".....

So we know that if we lose the event the site nukes, but if the event is off cooldown when a server starts, and since people want to see the event, and also since nukes are supposed to kick everyone from the server, that can create a perpetual loop of server shutdowns till the event isn’t played since we likely wouldn’t get a victory fast since we are new to it. Just take that into consideration when going into the game when the update releases.
