Ben might be able to use the arcane weapon because the helmet he has on grants like +5 arcane or something (I don't remember specifically, I just remember its good for arcane builds because it adds bonus arcane)

I'm sure someone's already said this but Ben can use his sword because the silver tear helment gives you additional Arcane. I believe it also reduces your strength or overall damage but in my own testing the damage difference seems minimal, so I wouldn't worry about the reduction.

Boss enemy HP and soul reward are scaled based on the enemy they replace. (For usually-not-bosses enemies. Boss room bosses dont do any scaling if I recall)

There isn't a tree guardian at that tree, so you were looking for something that never existed. However, there is a whole bunch of beetles around the base of the tree normally, which is what turned into all the mobs you had to fight.

Theres the old dumb theory on the Darth Maul high ground thing. Obi Wan traveled from the other side of the planet through the core, so technical him being closer to the core, and thus the other side of the planet, was higher from his perspective. I don't know enough about star wars to know the accuracy of that, but its sounds like a good dumb theory. :P

The amount of souls you get scales with the enemy trhat is being replaced (so does the power level, to some extent). So if a boss is replacing a random goat, it will not drop much runes, but it will also be a lot less tough.

just a quick suggestion, can we please see the gear changes and the level up's?! Stat and gear building is half the fun of following a run. Are they progressing their Dex to use the godkinner or whatever?! what's the plan? what armor are they using? what did they find?! Why are we always skipping this stuff in Tom's videos?? it seems like there's a fundamental misunderstanding of what much of us want. I often see many comments asking to show these things or wondering why we're just soiling over some of the most interesting parts..... Please for the love of kremlor show these sorts of things Josh and Tom..... Also the classic Ben blunder "I don't even have 2 arcane, meanwhile his arcane there like 🤷‍♂️ " wtf bro"
