I’m always hearing the SITKA jokes From friends who are too cheap to buy it. You never hear anyone that owns SITKA Bash it. I’m a carpenter that swings a hammer every day for the last 37 years. I work hard. I hunt hard and play hard. I own just about every piece of SITKA in the Whitetail lineup. I’m a big believer in buy once cry once. Hands down the best Gear I have worn in the last 40 years of hunting

Thanks for the great reviews. I am waiting until January till I can buy my system. I think I’m going to go with the Fanatic Jacket and hoodie and the Stratus bibs. I think that combo is going to give me the most flexibility for my hunts in Northern NY

James that's wh as t I use most in cold weather. The stratus jacket is nice too . Also the shacket or Fanatic vest nice in early to mid season

I think the stratus is more versatile with right layerin can go down into 20 something's so I agree the stratus get more uses out of it

You guys have some great videos. Any info you can offer between first lite and Sitka for late season cold weather. I've seen some first lite camo in several of your videos. Thanks alot for all the content and keep up the good work. I've been subscribed to your channel for awhile now.

Thanks for the review. I was wondering how it worked for you. Wow, two different sets. You went all out. Did you use any discounts? I know some military guys use a membership group and get 45% discounts on a lot of gear.

Heavy base layers is all you’ll need under Fanatics when it gets frigid .

I'm in middle Tennessee. We have a wide range of temperature during hunting season. Probably on average 40's down to mid 20's with the occasional extreme cold. It's time for me to start upgrading my cheap hunting clothes. With your experience with what you have, what would be good order of purchase for the Sitka gear? I figure if I buy it a piece at a time, it won't hurt as bad. Thanks

I think for me Id prioritize this way: Fanatic jacket Status bibs or pants Fanatic hoody Stratus jacket sratus beenie I also love the status jacket but I feel in warmer weather I can get away with more in anything , its in extreme weather coldvand wind that the sitka gear pays for itself .

I scent crush them with Ozone probably wash them 3 times per season and I wasged them with phase 1 laundry detergent

@@anthony4553 Yes I almost always had the Fanatic hoodie under both jackets and had plenty of room. I'm short but I have big shoulders and I'm thick but I had enough room to layer underneath, base layers, Fanatic hoodie, then either jacket

Ordered large in my fanatic jacket for some reason I got my stratus and celcius midi in xl I felt they ran a little tighter

I am long & lean & I think I would like that gloves attached 2 the hoodie. I usually wear rag wool gloves with the fingertips removed. Could hunt with that hoodie w/o rag wool gloves until it got really cold. I like my wrists covered & that is sometimes a problem with most my undershirts or layers under my top layer.
