Absolute savages; the grit it takes to be like these boys and do what they do in unreal. Even more impressive, they do it with so little ego. I'm glad my son can grow up with role models like these Foss boys!

These short movies by Sitka are absolute extraordinary pieces of cinema. I enjoy watching every single one, and I love seeing the Sitka product tested to the extremes.

There is something about brutally cold hunts that bring to the hunter a reward level so deep that it's hard to describe. It's strange too. The deep level of satisfaction just sort of happens. Your not always aware of it during the hunt and sometimes I find that I'm actually thinking the opposite. My mind will critique what I'm doing, why I'm doing it, is it worth it etc. But just as it ends usually, I feel a sense of gratitude for having had that opportunity. The worse the weather the better. My most recent hunt like that was an archery hunt in South Dakota, when an early blizzard arrived. It was so bad my four companions refused to hunt. Three went home after day one ( we are from Ohio) and my travel partner stayed with me but didn't hunt. Three days of 60 mph winds, -25 temps and blowing snow so bad the interstate was shut down for 48 hours. I was able to spot and stalk a small buck, bedded in super thick cattails, who had no clue I was there. I killed him at 12 yards, only because the winds covered my movement noise so well. Nonetheless, when I think of the many places I've hunted that hunt and a few other are the ones that come to mind. By the way, many of those hunts never culminated with a shot. But my god they are burned in my mind

Cool. Video. I would 1000 percent reccemended a hot tipi type setup. Game changer
@glenhoddinott37994 күн бұрын
I feel like the amount of time and energy you’d spend harvesting enough wood to keep a hot tipi warm in these conditions would negate the benefits. I guess that comes down to personal preference though.
@Random_Quads4 күн бұрын
That is true but the ability to dry clothes and boots out is the other major gain. I also would think any amount of heat when your brutally cold like that would potentially be worth it especially if you have a good supply of calories.

Sorry to say this but I think it’s important. It’s -8F, not -22F.. that’s a major difference in temp and in the title it says F but in the video he says -20 Celsius. I’m sitting in neg 20 F right now and the air looks totally different than in this video. You couldn’t have you tent door open and no gloves on in -20F. Anyone else’s notice that? If it was -20F they’d have frost shimmering around them all the time.

Do not take these conditions lightly people! If anything goes wrong you are quickly in a life and death situation. Ensure you have emergency communications and even then help may be many hours or a day away.

The Heavens and Earth are only around 6000 yrs old. The only thing you need to do next, is to accept the LORD JESUS CHRIST as your savior. John 3:16 Context 13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. PROBABLY SHOT ON THE FIRST DAY LIARS.
