Thank for videoing sitting bourn it nice to see the town where I was born and grew up. I was born December 1969 and lived along London Road near key street . Went to o Grove park school & Westland witch was Just round the corner from where we live. Now I live in South East Finland & it so nice to see these videos and how much Sittingbourne has changed. ☺️

@@Malegys yes I did with my older brother. I rember in the late 70s doinga protest across the london roaad near the grove with other kids and parents to get a pelcan crossing put there witch I think is still there now. After a girl got knocked down and bady hurt crossing the londo road to get to the grove. This was befor all the by passes where bult. And london road was a main road with big lorry's speeding a long it.

@@cazcat92 yeah, i remember the big lorries & the congestion. We used hang out at the "monument" at the Grove with our bmx bikes & annoying the groundsman of the cricket pitch 😀

In the summer time i rember beinng traffic jams in front of our house on London road. We lived near newland avenue just round the corner from westlands school.. My brother and me wrnt over the grove and i used to love going in the woods behind the cricket club i was allways climbing the trees if I could. Some times. We 2ould walk 5o the railway crossing and cross over and play in the filds there and waln to bobbin church. I went to Grovepark school with my brother. My brother went there when it first opend. He us3d to go to holy trinity church school untill Grovepark schol opened. Grovepark was the nearst primy school ner us then we bothwent to Westlands high school just round the corner from where we lived along the london road when i was about 6 i used to go with mum to the grove. And used to walk round on the bencs arond the cricket. Pitch. We used togo up the foot parth by the where cars would park that lead to the housig estate and then go. Up soe concrete steaps when we went to Grovepark school. We. Went along Andrews walk . Then climb the steps up into Clive road then turn down Nelson walk then alonh Wellington road then turn into Hilton drove the school wqs at te end that the way my brotherwaln to Grovepark evey day..

wow Sittingbourne has changed so much it looks so much better Sheerness is going downhill but Sittingbourne looks incredible compared to Sheerness haven't been there in years wow looks nice brings back so many memories

I left "the Bourne" in 1991 as it was absolutely awful & dead on it's arse. How's the Pikey situation there (if there's still one)?
