Before COVID I visited Sittong several times. It is a quiet serene place; but if you want a view of Kangchendzongha it will not be fulfilled; for that you have to go to elsewhere. However, you will get a small river, hanging oranges from trees (in winter), wayside flowers, birds. Homestays (they call it but actually hotels) are good, food good. But during my visits it was not cheap, ₹1000+ per person including food. Maybe nowadays they are charging less. True Sittong falls is an arduous climb, not recommended for elders or anyone with a health issue. The climb starts near Sittong entry point. People on a budget can go to Kurseong by bus, then board a shared taxi to Sittong; usually at noontime. While returning you may opt the reverse or if lucky may get a shared taxi upto NJP. Ask your host in advance. I tried to give a true information.

i was in Tea garden homestay beside yours homestay(1200 per head). It was a long bike ride from Hooghly(WB) to Lepchajagath-Darjeeling-sittong. Yes you can have a Clear view Of Kanchenjunga. That area is Sittong 2. Feb - 2024

I think you miss one thing that is, Orange 🍊 garden and harvesting in Jan and Feb every year and 🍊 is garden fresh very juicy ,I went there in February 1st week it's beautiful to see Orange in the tree.

I have mentioned the homestay rates, and car rates will change as per petrol prices...now it's upto you how many days you want to stay there...I have mentioned 4k a person can complete the trip that is currently, you can tour the entire place in one and a half day.. if you go in winters then prices will definitely go up
