finally i have got the answer i have been looking for after so many years of research. I can now go to the hospital and explain my situation to the medics very well. Been having situational syncope since 2012, then 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020....why does it skip two years? It begins with a simple running stomach. When I go to the toilet Its diarrhea and few seconds later i start to feel weak, sweat alot, lose vision and hearing senses, start losing breath and the stomach ache becomes even more strong. as soon as i get out of the toilet i have to hurry to find a matress or any soft surface while i still have some energy left in me, coz i would not want to fall on the ground else i would injure my body. when i fall on the bed or chair i pass out. That is the moment when i feel my soul leaving my body. It is very scaring because you see and feel yourself dying while you are kind of conscious but not conscious. And its funny how all this takes less than two minutes to go away.

You literally described my experience with this. I’ve only had a handful of these episodes in 60 years and they are all related to getting up out of bed to go the bathroom. Stomach pain, diarrhea, dizziness and lightheadedness. I’ve awakened on the bathroom floor more than once and one time my husband found me passed out on the toilet with my head tilted backwards. He said I was swallowing my tongue which caused choking sounds and that was what woke him up. I once hit the vanity and put a gash in my head. Another time I crashed into the wall trying to hurry to the toilet and it left a goose egg on my arm for a month. I had another episode yesterday morning after several years since the last one. I was alone and found the strength to call a neighbor who is a retired nurse who mentioned the word vasovagal and I started researching it. I’m glad to finally solve this terrible mystery! I needed an explanation.
