I’m so glad. And personally I think our school is very diverse domestically and internationally. But with covid i’m not sure how that has affected those numbers!

thoughts on transfer students working for housing in some way? during the first or second semester if possible

There is an application process to become a Resident Assistant (RA) which covers housing and meals and an Academic Peer Advocate (APA) which solely covers the room. I served as an APA for two years and did not have to pay for my room. This is a good way to find an on-campus job and get help with covering the cost of room and board. (You must work the entire academic year, this isn't a semester job). I am pretty sure applications are closed but you could try calling the residence life and housing office with further questions. Also, you must have been on campus either a semester or year before you are eligible for this position. However, since you are a transfer student this may be different since you have college experience.

How can you get a job on campus?

The best thing to do is research which on campus job you'd like to have and go in person with a resume (if you have one) and ask if they are in need of a student worker. If you have federal work study then you are basically guaranteed a job somewhere on campus. :)
