Onion rings recipe :
⭐ My measuring cup is 250 ml
The full recipe:
Two large onions, peeled and cut into onion rings.
For the batter:
Three-quarters cup of white flour - 105 grams
A quarter cup of Corn starch - 30 grams
Teaspoon of sweet paprika
Three-quarters of a teaspoon of salt
A quarter teaspoon of black pepper
Three-quarters cup of Carbonated water - 180 ml
2 3 tablespoons water
Oil for frying or oil spray for baking.
Bread crumbs for coating onion rings.
⭐How to prepare:
1. Peel the onions and cut into thick slices. These slices are disassembled and form from each such slice a few onion rings.
2. Prepare the batter: In a medium bowl, add flour, Corn starch, sweet paprika, three quarters of a teaspoon of salt, a quarter of a teaspoon of black pepper and mix everything well.
Add the carbonated water and mix well until lump-free mixture takes a few minutes. Add another 2 to 3 tablespoons of water until the mixture is smooth but not as liquid as water.
Try one onion ring and if you lack seasoning, add accordingly.
3. For frying the onion rings. Take a medium pot and fill with oil about 2 cm. Wait for the oil to heat up and during this time you can prepare some onion rings in advance.
4. Take one onion ring and tongs. Coat the onion ring in the batter on all sides and shake well so that some of the excess batter comes out.
Transfer the onion rings to whatever bread crumbs you want and coat the onion ring with bread crumbs on all sides and place on a side plate.
Make a few more rings like this until the oil heats up.
When the oil has warmed up, fill the entire pan with onion rings and wait for them to turn golden on both sides. Fry over medium heat. Fry until golden on both sides.
When the onion rings are golden, take them out onto a plate with absorbent paper and just enjoy each bite.
