G'day Lubin, I've been watching your videos for a while now and I really enjoy them. Also, I'm a big okuma fan. Looking forward to one day getting hold of one of those komodo outfits. I commend you on your persistence, using one surface lures for the entire trip, BUT, I'm at a loss as to why you didn't try other techniques. When I go fishing, I try as many things as I can to catch fish. From surface, subsurface, spinner baits, soft plastics, etc. And bait. Looking forward to hearing your reasoning. Keep up the great videos, Cheers, Craig.

Thanks for watching the channel mate! I just like really big topwater cods so I’m happy to go without until a big one grabs it!

There's a lot of Cod that need to go to SpecSavers!!! Keeping it Real - all the ups and downs of Murry Cod fishing. You don't hesitate to include the good, bad and ugly of your fishing trips - no manicuring of the content. This is what makes your vlogs sooooo good. Thanks so much Lubin and keep up the great work. Already looking forward to your next trip.

Lubin, Watching this and all your vids, how about talking to the audience as an international audience. Guide them through what the Murray is, what Cod are, why they pursue top water, how many miles/ kms you are travelling? Your footage is fishing ambassadorship at work mate.

Mate, what a good video. Really enjoyed it. Some nice cod taken. Gee, after 6 days of casting that tremor, you must have arms like Popeye 😆The river scenery was terrific to see👍 After the Day 3 rain stopped the river conditions looked primed for big cod. Just so many cod snags and holes on offer, but nothing. Ah well, keep at it. Cheers.

Loving your videos!! Im from the northeast US. I primarily fush for trout and pike. Your cod fisheries are so neat. I cant think of a fish in the US quite like these cod. Do you ever use top water presentations like walking the dog with a zara spook? Do you ever hop lures like a big curly tail grub or tube bait along the bottom? What hair jigs? Thanks for the content - helps me fight off the winter blues.

Thoroughly enjoyed it mate. Love how honest you are with everything when it doesn’t go your way. Anyone can post vids of only hook ups but you also deliver the grind. Just a quick one…. You use a GoPro chest mount over a head mount. Why’s that? I have a head mount but was thinking of changing it up. Anyway, keep up the awesome content mate. Cheers, Dan
@thefullscale-fishingadvent29172 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. The grind is absolutely part of cod fishing so always good to include it! I like the chest mount as it keeps the camera pointing at the rod, whereas if I had a head mount you’d see me looking around everywhere and most likely miss the bite lol
@hossharton70172 жыл бұрын
If you fished deep divers through out those sections would you have doubled your catch? Loved the Vid Dedication to stay on the surface!
@thefullscale-fishingadvent29172 жыл бұрын
Maybe.. it’s always so much easier to fish surface in the heavy currents so chances of a big one are always similar to fishing subsurface. Would’ve definitely landed more smaller fish tho.

Thanks mate. Depends on where you end up, I always try to camp below the high water mark, sometimes if I end up in an area I really want to fish in the morning but there’s no where to camp I just roll the swag out in the boat

Hi Long time viewer here. Enjoy your videos. How many betteries are you carrying? Recharge? Can you please tell me a little about the batteries and how long they last etc. Cheers
@thefullscale-fishingadvent29172 жыл бұрын
Hi John, Great to hear you enjoy the channel! I take 6 x 12v 120amp batteries which I use 2 at a time because my electric is 24v. I usually get 2.5 days or so out of a set depending on the current. I have a foldable solar panel which can charge a bit if the sun is out. Usually you’ll need a full day of sun to make any difference. I also have a seperate cranking battery for the motor which also does my phone and camera charging.

Lovely video again mate. I know you speak a lot about gear in your video's so sorry to ask a gear question. Is that reel the komodo 273 or 364? Do you fish a lighter rod /reel for the dyno90? I guess I'm asking if there is an outfit for us amateurs which covers the bulk of cod fishing? Thanks
@thefullscale-fishingadvent29172 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. I usually use the 364 for all the big water stuff like the Murray and big lakes, and I like the 273 for smaller waters. I’ll fish the Dyno on both reels just depends where I am. If your doing mainly big water stuff with bigger lures I’d go the 364 reel and 801H rod combo but if I was fishing mainly smaller waters I’d go the 273 and 661H rod.
