I recently took an interest in this band, and saw a lot of hate for them and Barnes. But man after checking out some of their old work, early SFU is pretty sick imo. Haunted feels like a 90s death metal classic to me.

Those who hate Barnes are idiots. Everyone gets old. In his prime, Barnes was a force of brutality. His lyrics remain as the best brutal death metal lyrics.

One of my all time favorite bands. Barnes will always be a legend. I love the original lineup, but honestly Steve Swanson is just as good if not better IMO. They didn't miss a beat when he joined 💀☠️

Six feet under was founded in 1993. It was a side project for Chris. In 1995 Chris left Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under became his main band.
