I almost did, however we didn't arrive at the park in time to cover everything. Definitely planning on returning another time to sample the offerings.

Just a comment. space shuttle America was a simulator ride, that was later replaced by a dinosaur simulator attraction. The ride you are thinking of that goes all the way around was power dive.

How many gift shops are there in total at that park? We have several big ones but almost all are grouped near each other

Quite a few. Most of them sell the same Six flags staple items.
