Changing the name of the ride this late in the game is kinda wild, but the new color scheme is so much better. I don't love how the trains are still gonna be surf board shaped though

I like it because I feel like it fits a little better in the park. I feel like making the parks more cohesive is going to be a major focus for the Cedar Fair management going forward

Honestly makes way more sense to the area. Not just because the mine train is right there given its entrance and western section isn't. The other 1/2 of the western section or rather all they added at some point is DC themed. So "Georgia Surfer" was just random. It would've been better as Aqua man but since it's not a Mack power splash (aka intentional soaking) even that would've been out of place for this one. They easily went with a better option; more power to them. Now if only they'd make Georgia Scorcher floorless and maybe replace the broken skyline coasters if they need too with what St. Louis got a few years back. Now if only SFGADV would've asked Vekoma to make a switch track station upgrade for Flash: Vertical Velocity. But I think it's clear that's not going to happen. Hopefully enough people are still pissed that you can get on it in like 45 minutes (assuming the park doesn't go six flags dystopian failed 50th anniversy like 2024, that was pathetically bad).

This seems a bit weird as a water coaster with a surfboard themed train. But also because Carolina Goldrusher is like right there a few hours away.

I absolutely loved the theme especially because of the surfboard train. This was their chance to take the "Georgia" out of the name but nah I think they sold this go around. How does the water feature even make any sense

Let's be real, vibrant colors or not, the original theming looked flamboyant and cheap and had no cohesion with anything near it. I hope with this new merger, Six Flags parks start to have SOME level of place-making again. The direction the old Six Flags was taking all of their parks was having the aesthetics of a permanent carnival where everything is rainbow colored... THIS at least feels like care and thought were given.

This is a carnival ride. Why are they putting all of these little BS rides at these major parks? This park only has one ride worth standing in line for and that is Goliath. Even then you have to wait so long because operations are horrible. It is a beautiful park but the rides suck.
