Six Mile Creek Whitewater & Bluegrass Festival - FULL DOCUMENTARY

In episode 113 of Truck House Life, I'll take you along for the ride to one of the most unique festivals you'll ever come across, the 14th annual Six Mile Creek Whitewater & Bluegrass Festival. I've been throwing this festival the past 14 years here in Alaska. Whitewater, pool toys, mosh pits, hot tubs and fireballs oh my! This is my first full-length documentary of the festival, capturing exactly what it takes to throw this festival, make it a successful event and clean the festival up (so it appears the festival never happened in the Alaskan wilderness).
I'll bring you along for the set-up of the festival (showing the behind the scenes work), capture the lifestyle of attendees, spectate the 3 extreme races (whitewater kayak, pack raft and pool toy!), jump around with 6 live hi-energy Alaska bands and come together to clean everything up at the end.

Reminds me of a thing my friends used to put on every summer on the Hoh river decades ago. I think you have to grow up out in that simpler environment to really get it. Kind of along the same lines in why the high school football team is so popular. Fantastic Whitewater Fest!!! Great turnout. Impressed and proud of ya Tim... I know what 'army of one' on setting up & as you relate in the video "sometimes ya just have to get it done yourself" is all about. Rare breed today! It is fulfilling and rewarding to get 'er done. Thank you for inviting me and Alaska Raft Connection. This is the first year I actually could do it... having a rare in-season two-day timeline break in my peak season float trip services, raft rentals, raft repairs, retail, building rowing frames rescue/recovery on-calls. etc. It was super fun to bring down the Creature Craft w/ Reed Leslie, run all three Canyons, meet folks: old friends, acquaintances, and new faces. Fun and convenient to camp at the Fest gateway - lol. That you again for all your hard work and energy!!!
