Thank you for the video. As a beginner I found it very useful as there are so many brush types. I didn't find the music annoying. Is it possible to alternate two pieces of music? Maybe when you move from one phase of a painting to another? Everyone's a critic right!😃

Andy, thank you very much. Regarding the music - thank you for a good idea, I definitely will alternate the music to make sure it is not disturbing from getting information.

Your content is great, I hope your channel grows. Thanks for your work and for the knowledge you are passing on. This might be the most straightforward brush video I have ever seen on KZbin, of course I will still buy all kinds of brushes I’ll never use but for us beginners it’s nice to get specific recommendations from an experienced painter.

Great video. Clear and concise. I've owned a couple of fan brushes for 18yrs (when I started painting), and only now I am discovering the versatile marks they can make, after watching some Russian masters like Nikolai Blokhin.

Great video on describing important basics that I was never taught. Can you explain why some of my rosemary brushes are splaying? I always wipe them with brush cleaner after a session and if I’m not going to use them next day I’ll wash with brush soap. How do you maintain them?
@PrincessAloeVera26 күн бұрын
If you are using bristle brushes that are made from real boar hair they will always splay more if you wash them with soap and water including brush soap and water. Pretty sure if it's synthetic bristles then you can use soap and water. I use soap made from tallow or lard for brush cleaning .

@@openstudiod Thanks Vlad. I love your vids. ps How many demos per month do you do for members? I'm assuming it's one, which is great, but just wondering if it's more than one. I am going to join at beginning of Jan. Soon! I want to learn more about oil painting. And you are my favorite teacher on youtube. I love your work and also your passion for helping others.

Thank you Mariam, I will keep it in mind... let me ask you, was it the music playing in general was annoying or just this specific track? I would really appreciate you helping me

@@openstudiod I enjoy listening to your tutorials so I find the music in the background distracting while you speak.

I love the way you pronounce "Grand Prix". I appreciate you are not English but it is a French phrase and it is pronounced "Grand Pree". Excellent video on brushes, though. 👍🏻

Lol… a lot of people do not like fan brushes. But if you can give it another chance with a proper use … you may get to the point of 100% must brush
