For new players your game will be a lot easier if you focus on compacting your layout as much as possible. Imagine it's a circle target, you want to be the bullseye and then expand to outer circles gradually as you get more items. Make things as close as possible without blocking any access. Not sure why almost no streamers ever do good layouts. This has 6 people so not a big deal but just surprised so few people actually do good layouts.

I got an idea for the tray: leave it on the counter, put 2 ice creams on it, take it to the table and then back to the counter, basically just dont keep holding it

It would work but is super finicky bc its two different action buttons. Probably better to have one person make the ice cream and then another pick them up with the tray
