The original costumes for this cast, including Seymour's, came out before the Broadway costume updates. But since Phoenix and Chelsea (Aragon and Howard respectively) are brand new since the PRE-Pandemic cast, they got the updates. I'm assuming that the original ANZ cast members' pre-Pandemic costumes are fine, so they just reused them.

@@JDKulis Yep I suspect this is the correct answer. The original remaining cast from early 2020 (Kala, Loren, Kiana, Vidya) would probably still be using their original costumes.

Whats happened to kiana? She hasnt been on yet in sydney

I believe she's currently out sick. Her Cleves is incredible, but I did enjoy seeing another performer take on the role. Finally I have seen all 3 current Australian swings!
