Fun fact: All of Henry's wives are descended from Edward I. Katherine of Aragon was actually the great granddaughter of King Henry IV's sister, who were both from the house of lancaster, which ruled before the Tudors and the Yorks. 3:12 is my favourite part with all the queens introducing themselves. Two little things I really like: -The vocals panning from left to right as they go in chronological order. -The slight change to the instrumentals for each queen - Aragon's bit adds a lute, Boleyn's has the high short notes (I can't tell the instrument), Seymour's the long piano notes, Cleves' the accordion, Howard's the additional beat, and Parr's the electric keyboard. The second aspect is especially great because of how they fit in with each queen. Seymour's bit actually includes a part from _Heart of Stone,_ but the others fit their personalities in the show like Aragon's dignity/royalty, Boleyn's childishness, and Howard's flirtatiousness, or in Cleves' case her origins. Parr's is kinda split in two, with the first half being more subdued and the second half more assertive - just like _I Don't Need Your Love._

I just came from the live show and listening to the studio recordings. They got vocals, they got the same lyrics but damn these recordings have 10% of the energy the singers give when they're performing live! It's like listening to a lullaby, whereas the live show is a full on rock concert! See it live if you can, it's so worth it!!

I’ve listened to this whole album multiple times over, with headphones and without, but I just realized that when one singular queen is speaking you can pinpoint where she’s coming from. Like Aragon is all the way on the left, Seymour and Cleaves are right in the middle and Parr is all the way on the right. A really cool detail that I just realized.
