Saw SIX on the Bliss in April AND it was my 1st ever cruise! While boarding, I was fortunate to meet the mother of one of the stars, then later her daughter who played the role of Catherine Parr. Her daughter and the other ladies are amazing performers and we thoroughly enjoyed the energetic music, exquisite costumes and the colorful stage production. I've seen many live theater shows and this was definitely top 5 in my book!

I think this is a fun show. It's not a typical musical but I just view it as a concert that happens to be sung by these people. I get why others don't like it, but to me it's catchy and a nice mindless watch.

My sister and I saw this on Broadway just before Covid closed everything down. We had been told it was "the new Hamilton" which is a lot to live up to. It's an interesting concept, and the small cast and fairly limited sets and limited number of costumes (though not inexpensive) should lend itself to being a good choice for a cruise production. I'll be seeing it on the Bliss next week (I hope) before the queens take their last bows. I'm sad to see NCL removing the Broadway productions and replacing them with game shows.

Hi Grant, from your Six dance partner! I enjoyed meeting you on the Breakaway. As you know, I'm obsessed with Six. I think it is quite a coup for NCL that they got the production before Broadway. I'm so impressed that the writers were college students that put together such a compelling set of songs with clever lines and dialog. It's exciting that you will see it in Canada! Enjoy!

Love that you posted this. I have tickets for Six The Musical in Durham, NC, in two weeks. I've been pretty deep into researching the production because I think most plays are better when I already know the plot. Your description really helped.

Great review! I enjoyed the detail about the history of SIX, the costumes, your summary and impressions. Also I was glad to hear NCL are planning to bring it to another ship, in light of them closing so many other shows on other ships.

I certainly hope that NCL follows through on it's promise to move SIX to another ship. Unfortunately in recent news they've shared that SIX will be leaving both Breakaway and Bliss in early 2024.

Hi Grant, great video as always.I saw Six on the Bliss (it was amazing), and I'd recommend it to most. My favorite character even before the cruise was Anna of cleaves because yah (lol). However, after listening to it live a close second was Catherine of Aragon. Side note for anyone who is looking for more story driven on the bliss Jersy boys was definitely that, and the actors were also very talented. The music is different, of course, but still enjoyable.

I am not a big musical fan. I usually think they are hard to follow. Everything is usually too loud for me too. However, we went on Bliss last fall and I had never heard of Six so went to see it. I loved it! I knew my 21 year old daughter would love it too and texted her about it that night. My daughter had already seen it and had the songs memorized 🤣 I was very impressed with the talent and the costumes. Great show! I’m hoping to go on the Bliss this summer and will definitely be going to see it again (with my daughter this time)

We went on that cruise last fall. It was great. I love the Bliss. Make sure to spend lots of time on the observation deck. It’s amazing. The food was great and the staff was amazing.

I'm not a fan. I did not enjoy it at all. It was like a "Real Housewives" show - which I also don't enjoy - where loud women are all fighting for attention and tossing tables. 6 screeching females complaining about a man was not my cup of tea. I can admire the costuming, the hard work by the performers, the historical entertainment/education etc. but I'll be avoiding it on future cruises. Once was enough.
