With somewhere around 60 different anime airing this season, how do you find decent shows that haven't gotten a ton of hype? You watch this video, of course. You don't need me to tell you about Demon Slayer, Spice and Wolf, or Kaiju No. 8, but what about the smaller shows that might be right up your alley? Hopefully this video will help you find those lesser-known shows to fill up your watchlist. You might even find your next hidden gem.

Girls Band Cry isn't streaming in my area, and I usually try to avoid sailing the high seas. Sometimes I'm left with no choice, of course, but I'm going to wait awhile to see if someone picks this one up first.

I fully agree on Jellyfish. Yes, I've seen this before (>> Yorimoi), but so what - it's still an engaging and beautiful show. Another banger from my favorite Tokyo studio, Doga Kobo.

I love how well directed it is. There are so many creative shots that were clearly thought out carefully beforehand, and it pays off in the finished product.

Huh, this one looks interesting. To make this list, every show had to have a limited number of views and reach some rating thresholds on a couple of different sites. Yatagarasu passed the ratings test on one site but not on the other, so it didn't make it. I might have to check this out, though.

I wanted to watch Jellyfish but I don't have HiDive. I gave Unnamed Memory a shot (because of Frieren voice actress is a main again) but the exposition dump in the first episode really took the wind out of those sails. And then I'm really enjoying Go! Go! Loser Ranger. I"m not a fan of Power Rangers either but it's more The Boys than power rangers. Also from the director who did Tiger and Bunny which I enjoyed for the most part. Great list though! I may slide one or two into my packed schedule.

Now that you say that, I can see the Tiger and Bunny similarities with Loser Ranger. Mayyybe Jellyfish gets ported over to Amazon in a year or two, but I doubt it (and it's definitely not a Netflix-type pickup). I wish AMC would either go all-in and develop HiDive more or sell it to someone who would.
