How do you specify that the sub-VI is a non-reentant VI?? how do you know a sub-VI behave like that?? there are nothing special inside the sub-VI only a case, and while loop... Thanks

Brenno Leal Great question! Yes, the semaphore is another solution to this same problem. The functional global variable, and other action engines, tend to be used more since they allow more flexibility than the semaphore: they can transfer data, they can perform operations, they can be shared across applications, and many other reasons.
