Hindsight is 20/20, so saying morey had bad signings when everyone celebrating the off-season is silly to me. If his signings looked good and it's not working, that means the players just aren't performing well. Morey did a very good job in my opinion. It's not his fault that Caleb martin started the season trash and is now getting hurt. It's not his fault Drummond has been hurt. But Yabu has been great, McCain was a great pick up, and Morey didnt make him tear his miniscus. Oubre has been prertty solid. Eric Gordon has been finding his stroke. PG has been a consistently good defender and now he's finding his stroke. I think the biggest blame goes to Nurse because our offense has been the problem and nurse hasn't figured out how to run a good offense without Embiid, knowing embiid would miss a lot of games

It comes at a point in time the Sixers have to realize that they are dealing with an injury-prone player. Tne only dumb decision was givng an extension so early on but at the same time you don't and you deal with him requesting out. NBA is just trash Adam Silver has to do something about this. I'm all for player empowerment but it's going way too far. We either trade him or build around the young talent we currently have through the draft and trade with him having less of a focal point on the team. But hey, at least Joel won an Mvp and Olympic gold medal. As a Rockets fan, I've always had my gripes with Morey and his way of team construction. I always felt Morey is highly overrated as a GM, and I'm glad he's no longer in Houston. Morey definitely got lucky trading for Harden. But he was also the main reason for Houston lack of success. He values superstars, like Harden, above coaches, and the team. Because of that, Harden was never held accountable and he was allowed to hold the reigns over coaches. Harden never made sacrifices and be a star that succeeds in a more team oriented system.
