I don't think wwf/e booked shows according to wrestler's willingness. You have to be a carry the company's business growth of you are a world champion. Even Undertaker had short title Reigns and only in his later years he added few more Reigns to bring it to 7. Undertaker and Kane are on different league and are not identified by championships.

I understand what taker means how Kane needed to be an asshole sometimes regarding business cuz he was just such a Class Act and respectful , it makes total sense of how and why his legacy isn't as decorated and revered as other big names. Kane was the total package, So massive that he had his own climate, so much aura that it had a gravitational pull of your attention when he's just standing in the background never saying a word. Because he had zero ego he didn't care about the spotlight, he didn't care about the Wrestlemania moments , he especially didn't care when they turned his dark persona into comedy, he never competed for a legacy cuz he was that loyal to the business and to the people who gave him his last opportunity and he's awesome for that but as someone who got into wrestling at 6 years old because I was obsessed with the Mystique of Kane, I was pissed of how they constantly reduced his character and wasted him over the year's. I always felt like he should have been a character as revered as Taker, like how does someone who has the most Royal Rumble eliminations has never won a Royal Rumble? Lol It's stuff like that burns me up, no pun intended

Popular opinion: HHH, a bodybuilder that once carried bags for Hall and Nash, had no business ever dumping Chyna and worming his way into the McMahon family, which put him over for life and made him a company boss. Nobody ever bought a ticket to listen to a stock, boring, long-haired roider hold a belt and blab on the microphone for 5 minutes, they paid to see everyone he worked with. Mark Henry had more talent and personality come out of his butt that HHH had come out of years of promos.
