But...we didn't have iPhones or smartphones, or high speed internet. Such a great advancement in the history of humanity! We had homeless people, but not people living in tents on the sidewalk. Quite honestly, the 1990s may have been the last good decade for music. I recently checked out one of those "Now That's What I Call Music"CDs from the library, the one called "The '00s". There were very few good songs on it, and even the good tunes had some kind of gimmick to them, like Shakira's Hips Don't Lie having Wyclef Jean rapping on it, and not rapping very well. The 2010s are even worse- that was the era of Blurred Lines and crap like that.
