This is what I suffered for almost 4 years... When I was 26 years old. Until now my right eye cannot move out, I have had strabismus surgery twice. I'm confused about what I should do in the future in a situation like this😔

Nice video, very well explained!! I just turned 52 years old ( 4 months ago) and on Nov. 17 2022 I woke up to a double vision, so i went to the ER thinking I was having a stroke. At the ER , blood pressure was taken and it came out perfect, Ekg was perfect, head scan was perfect , I was discharged with a diagnosis of “ diplopia” but the Dr recommended to follow up with my PCP, neurologist & cardiologist, which i did!! First, I went to see my PCP and she ordered some blood work. I came back to my PCP for the results and it came back positive for “Sjogren’s syndrome” and “ANA” she recommended to see a Rheumatoid Dr., Neurologist & Cardiologist which i did. I haven’t been able to se a Rheumatologist yet because of my insurance..but I went to see a Neuro Dr. and he order me to do some MRI Brain w/without contrast MR Angiogram , Neck w/without contrast and more blood work. The results from the MRI showed 2mm aneurism but he said “ is nothing to worried about because of the small size, yet he needs to monitor it in a yearly basis to avoid any future complications. Also,he found a “ tortuous chiasm artery” so he suggested to see a Neuro-ophthalmologist… The results from the blood work he ordered came out “ outstanding”. I also went to see a cardiologist and the results were fenomenal!! so my Neuro Dr said that he is ruling out..trying to come to the bottom of the issue. So, i already scheduled an appointment with a Neuro- ophthalmologist and I will be seeing him this Tuesday, 12/27/22… just wish me the best!! Thanks for the video and I will be posting more info. Merry Christmas!!

A Múltiples S.. test was going to be done but I never followed through, so the Dr agreed for me not to do it because he didn’t see any signs of MS. Three months after the incident, I was fully recovered,, but It all happened gradually. The Dr’s couldn’t find out what caused my double vision.

How are you doing now? After many texts they don't know what is causing it with neurologist stated it's abnormal I'm done waiting around taking him to trauma hospital tonight! Too many reasons to get immediate care due to underlying conditions and we can't get into Cleveland clinic til end of June! I feel like something is being missed! We. Just got engaged after 10yrs and I will NOT lose him now! Began in rt eye and is now in left also (worse in left) so scary!!!!

Thank you for this video. I am a healthy 19 year old with this condition and the doctors can find no reason or underlying conditions that would have lead to this. Hoping it resolves itself soon😅

Hi! I am going through this right now, did it heal for you @joeynealy ?
@joeynealy9 ай бұрын
@@erikleanos3604 hey not completely yet, but it turns out I didn’t exactly have this, it was my first attack of MS. I don’t think you should be concerned that you might have it too though because of all the tests I had, no Doctor was even looking for MS. I think it’s not a common enough link that it should be a worry for you. All the best and I hope yours heals soon😄

Thank u for the information. I was recently diagnosed with 6th nerve palsy, and it is scary. I do have type 1 diabetes and no other eye issues or serious nerve issues. I was hoping to find info about how to help it resolve. I had an mri and was seen by an ophthalmologist who did all the tests. I'm wearing an eyepatch constantly on the affected eye. I hope that helps.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. The majority of issues such as yours (usually) resolve fully (but each case is different) by up to 6 months.

Hi. Thank you for your videos! I have some very unusual abnormal eye movements. I live in a small country where the health care is very poor, it's difficult to see any specialists, and there is no neuro-ophtalmologist. I saw 2 different ophthalmologists at the hospital who took my symptoms seriously, but then I saw a neurologist who dismissed my symptoms. The 1st ophthalmologist felt I needed to be seen by an internal medicine specialist - I have other symptoms - but in the health system here he wasn't able to refer me himself, it goes back to the GP, and GPs are unwilling to help me. My symptoms are very visible on videos. Would you know of any neuro-ophtalmologist who would accept to assess a patient via telehealth? Who would be willing to assess abnormal eye movements when looking up and down, and also abnormal movements in the left eye when trying to hold a left gaze.(this is why I clicked on this video!) Thank you very much.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear of your struggles. Unfortunately I don't personally know of any neuro-ophthalmologist who would accept your case via telehealth. But I do know that in the UK there is an ever growing industry of telemedicine services. One of these might be a good option for you. Good luck.

I am going through my 2nd episode of this in 8 years. Im a 32 year old female with no significant medical history except occasional migraines. On the first occasion my MRI was considered normal (there were tiny white matter hyperintensities). This time round the MRI reported multiple periventricular t2 hyperintense lesions suspicous for demyelination... could this be MS???

It would be wrong for me to make a comment. Your neurologist is the best person to address your question. Good luck.

It depends how badly the nerve was damaged. If it was compressed it might recover over time. Trying to eat well (assuming your swallow wasn't impacted) with good diet rich in antioxidants and omega and the right vitamins and minerals incl Vit D might have a positive effect on any potential for nerve recovery. The nerve has to recover and then the muscles need to respond so keep trying to look that way to keep the muscles moving if they have any nerve signal going through.
