The series is called "Sita and Rama from Sita's point of view". This is a very instructive series, it is not only about praising Rama. This series says - it's time to understand that a woman is also a person, and not just like Tulsidas.

True! That's why there is a saying "literature is the mirror of society." The era when Tulsidas wrote "Ramcharitmanas" was a time when the social situation of a woman degraded to almost hell. That's why the portrayal of Devi Sita was so weak in Ramcharitmanas. But if you look at "Uttarramcharit", the great Sanskrit scripture, you'll see the strength and self righteousness of Devi Sita. This is why I always prefer "Siya k Ram" more than any other onscreen portrayal of Ramayana, despite being overdramatic and stretched in some places, because they showed the guts to tell the story from Devi Sita's perspective. Especially the earlier seasons were so good. All the character developments, their interpersonal relationships were depicted so beautifully.

If we read original Ramayan by Maharishi Valmiki, we come to know that women at that time were so bold and so pure that their condition, mentioned in Ramcharitmanas was not so authentic but we cannot deny that Ramcharitmanas is also very pious literature that depicts the way a person should lead life properly. All the Siya ke Ram casting is awesome just fabulous each and every character is touchable just like Ram ji Lakshman and Hanuman Ji is just fabuloust. It is my humble request to Siya ke Ram team please make Ramayan as a web series and please make details the way Ramayan as it is the same casting of Siya ke Ram.

It was also against everything they promised, because they promised to show Uttar Ramayana in a new light, from the perspective of Sita. Like Shri Ram is hailed for his heroic part in following the orders of his father, Sita too should be hailed as a Queen for doing what is the wish of her people. It was a joined decision of King Ram and Queen Sita to sacrifice their love for the sake of their subjects and to teach them a lesson and bring a change in the society. And they did learn that lesson eventually, which would never have happened if Shri Ram and Sita didn’t do what he did. They would always have labelled selfish tyrants who broke rules for their own sake. That is what they promised initially. I watched the whole thing for this. And they caved under pressure and showed the same tired narrative that we have been shown for last 100 years in Bollywood cinema.
