Yes I was thinking the same. 1997 was the year when Pakistan and India played most matches against each other, but then after 1999 wc till 2003 wc no bi-lateral series happened between the two sides.

I was 9 only. No Tendulkar,no Dravid ...I can't remember this tournament after so long ... INDIAN pacers were very poor performers these days,only Srinath as Pacer and Anil Kumble as spinner used to create pressure...other bowlers did not have speciality and variety in bowling...Again, tail ender batsmen could not play big shots or could not build partnership during those days ...India were mainly stood with Sachin,Saurav,Rahul,Kumble and Azhar.If they failed to perform in any match ,India could not win ...
