@@marioorlovic Well, the radio system, which includes an air module is between roughly $650 and $950 depending whether you go for the non-Pro or Pro version of the radio. The rest of the stuff, which is linked in the description of the video and you can check it out there, will add on to that.

Love the idea of in field live streams.. I have thought about that too. I'm surprised more people haven't tried it.

SIY не просто бороться на рынке когда конкурент DJI с хорошим зумом в 200х на дронах. Да, они не дешевые но того стоят. Не знаю, будет ли интересен данной компании моё предложение : Сделать видео на 1200 Ггц с большим зумом и хорошей стабилизацией (увеличит дальность видео сигнала) и радиоуправление на 868-915 Мгц, что так же увеличит дальность пилотирования. И конечно же, чтобы сигналы были зашифрованы. Я думаю найдутся покупатели. То есть, нужно предложить потребителю то, что пока ещё не предложил DJI в наше неспокойное время.

In general you are correct, but I would assume the market is big enough for some competition. SIYI claim to have sold A LOT of the UniRC 7 system even before I put my first video out. As for frequencies... there might be a reason why most major manufacturers go with 2.4 and 5.8... regulations, licensing, etc. I am sure they are aware of all of that. Furthermore, lower frequencies in general struggle when they have to move larger amounts of information, so they either have to compromise on image quality or have to increase the amount of channels simultaneously used to transfer that information, which certainly does not help the range situation. Also, as a technology, 2.4 and 5.8 are much better developed at this point and I would assume much cheaper to use.

Hm30 had repeater functionality, not seeing that being an option on 7 yet, any word if that will be available in the future?

It might be, I have not inquired about it! The HM30 works as a repeater, yes, but SIYI still have work to do on it, because while it worked to relay everything to the ground station or MK series radio, it could not output mavlink over its UART for the antenna tracker, which for me is a serious limitation for a setup with a repeater, where its benefit would be best on a working tracker. I have informed SIYI about it a while back and they said they will look into fixing that. No word yet.

Hi, did you test the UniRC7 Pro with QGC? What are the results, specially video streaming and recording?

I have not tried it with QGC, I don't use it and I don't particularly like it, however, if it works with the Windows UniGCS and Mission Planner, it will work with QGC, and I presume all its functions will work as expected.

For what it's worth, the new DJI O4 has a race mode which makes it behave much better with its radio frequency usage. Race mode limits the frequency to normal FPV race frequencies. DJI plays nicely with other VTX gear when in race mode.

Apparently the artificial horizon preference is a western thing. I've heard Soviet aircraft used a an aircraft attitude indicator instead of an artificial horizon. As you can guess, this has caused serious problems with pilots transitioning between the two systems.

@@ddegn Haha, yeah, I can imagine how that went! :D As for the DJI O4... that is a very new thing, sadly I don't think the few years old DJI FPV drone has that option!
