if you are wondering why this song was saved as an ending rather than an opening. because this is a spoiler from the novel. The opening seems to describe the feelings of Iska and Alice who are in love like ordinary school children. But in the end (ending song) Alice has to accept the fact that their background is an obstacle. That's why Alice in the ending is depicted crying and raising her hands when she sees Iska who must be her enemy
