Very comprehensive review. I personally like the SJ 6 Legend very much, it's a pretty decent camera for the price, just the very aggressive noise reduction ruins recordings made in low to moderate light conditions.

@@RedskullPro You are right, of course, but I think, SJ6 Legend performance is not impressive even by Sjcam standards. I made a side by side comparison of SJ6 and SJ4000 under low to average lighting conditions recently (both cameras set to 1080p 30fps, SJ6 with stabilizer set to low) and the SJ4000 just always produced sharper, distinctively more detailed image - even in daylight.

They picked that USB port because it supports an external microphone. The reason why I will be buying this one. EDIT* After reading some reviews I read somewhere that the mic records only one side and the camera mic remains on and records the other(left/right to make it stereo). I want to use this for motovlogging and the camera mic will be exposed to a lot of wind. The reason I need an external mic. If this is the case it won't work. Can you confirm this?

+TekReviews it's possible, i haven't had a chance to try the SJ5000X... But keep in mind that it wasn't that bright out and everything was kind of grey and white... Not the best colours for pictures :)

Redskull Yes the other review the clouds were pretty grey looking and even in that condition the SJ5000X looked better in the pics and video taken compared to the S6 Legend. I think if you tweak the aperature settings on the SJ6 it would look much better but their auto mode is not as good as the 5000X Elite. I am sure there is probably a TEXT file you can edit on the SJ6 Internal Memory card to have settings the way you like it. I know Techmoan does this on his cameras he shows you the text file and you can set Aperature and things so it uses those settings when the device first powers on.

Hello! Nice vid man. The sample footage, did u record it at 1080? I'm having a few problems that I can't seem to find the answers online. 1) I can set the resolution to 2k or 4k but when i put it on my computer it only captured audio (no video at all). 2) I've tried recording at night too (low light) but there so many white dots, I guess that's what u call grainy? Compare to yours, mine is like 10 times worse. so frustrating. I'm starting to think I got a defect one -_- Thanks man.
