Thanks very much for translating this for English speakers. I thought the series was truly outstanding and I think in some ways the actors dont give themselves enough credit for their own talents. A good script direction etc is very important but if the acting talent isnt there you could never tackle such tough and moving issues and make it beluevable and powerful as it was.

i know your comment was years ago.. but ive just been re-watching the series and came across this video. i hadn't seen much of tarjei in interviews - just the show itself and the bloopers. he's a lot more reserved than i would have expected. i'm not saying that as a bad thing at all - it's just you have this kind of idea in your head of how you think an actor would be in real life.. and i was totally surprised. i believe that makes him an even greater actor!

It's hard to be up on stage as yourself trying to interpret the forward trajectory of a fictional character you channeled from the script you worked with. I'm pretty sure everyone would give a variation to the actors own stab at it. I liked the elegance of the response "they are out there now living on, we just can't hear them" a lovely way to put it and to all the fans who love the show, parts of our stories are in the SKAM universe to one degree or another. It reflected life and shades of lives past lived and that gave everyone a degree of representation. I also agree Vilde's story should have been explored in a series 5 so many young folk are being revealed as hidden carers some of whom cope with gargantuan challenges hidden well behind a practised facade. This team of players had a magic on screen that could well play two or three series allowing though they are getting older and the school setting may be outgrown.

To me it looked like Tarjei didn't really want to be there. He didn't seem to be comfortable in his own skin. I've heard that he hates the limelight and despises his celebrity status, hence probably the reason that he's only very rarely seen in public. He does look older than his age. I would say here that he looks 23 or more, whereas he is actually only 18 when this interview was recorded.

In my opinion it's kind of like joking with racism etc; when there are still a lot of people who actually consider homosexuality a disease, it might be too soon to say stuff like this. Also, in Norwegian, it sounds a bit worse than "get well". She basically says "get healthy/get rid of the disease". Which is unnecessary and counter productive after all the hard work that SKAM has done to prevent such attitudes in real life. If you laughed at this I don't judge you at all, but it might be difficult to hear for people who struggle to come out or stay out because of such attitudes actually existing.

Yeah, I know that it might be difficult for a person who is actually gay. It was a bad joke but I think it wasn't that serious. I mean, I just laughed because Ulrikke was all the time joking about Vilde and Isak going out together and she added the fact that homosexuality isn't a disease. I'm not saying it's okay or not but we all know that Ulrikke supports homosexuality and she is a kind person. She talked about this in her personal instagram. She apologised about this and I don't get why people still saying she is disgusting and stuff like that. There is no reason to bully her.
