No problem! Not sure if the Impala is the same as the Malibu or not i do know on the little bit older models it was in the rear trunk behind the carpet on the right side I believe!

I have never done any speaker work in my life after installing it does the sub work with factory speaker when useing car play wirelessly and can i keep the stock screen on the mailbu too.

It should work with everything stock just adds more to it, but you could always get an aftermarket head unit too

Yes, adding the wireless adapter. Everything works the exact same as if it was plugged in through the cord into your phone

If you're only installing a sub and not a 4-channel amp for the 6x5 and the doors, then you should only need an LC2i

If you buy the harness you won't need the ANC Bypass his harness does it for you threw the harness also I did by the adapter to hook up the door speakers from Crutchfield

Is this an LS, LT…which model? Bc I seen another video showing the wires were in the passenger door.

It's the LT....the stock wires do run threw the doors!! But doing it this way allows you to maintain the factory wiring basically plug n play like I said you can just tap into the wiring under the dash at the computer but splicing does void warranties and with this it's just a much cleaner install..

If your question is in regards to the harness, yes there is a difference. There is a Bose harness and a non-bose harness, but if you are just specifically trying to pull the high output signal from the wires and you just want to splice into them, it's pretty much the same. The color codes could be different but I doubt it

Yes!!! Tap into your front and rear outputs and run that directly to the LC7I or you could do a LC2i if your just putting in a subwoofer

I came in thrrw the fire wall on the passenger side very close to where the control module I showed in the video youll see a rubber grommet sorry for the late response as I just seen this and for the ground I found a good location just under the seat location where it folds down in the back lift up the carpeting

Hey I’m getting the same harness as you I have a couples question so for the input signal into the loc you have to use which color wires and what about the power and ground for loc also which loc did you use ?

The harness will have the yellow 12v wire built right into it so after you attache all your speaker wire to the harness and run it back to the LOC you'll see a separate yellow wire that's your power wire then the separate black wire will be your ground wire to the LOC but you could just use a small wire and piggy back right off your amps power the harness will have what you need though.. also if you scroll up in the comments you'll see where I posted what colors are what in terms of your front and rear speaker wires

The rims are 22in and the tire set up is 235/30R22....There is a very tiny amount of rub when the wheel is turned ALL THE WAY as far as it can turn either direction but how often do you actually turned the wheel that far hopefully this helps!!!

How did you run the signal in from the front with all speakers with 12v and ground ? I have same 9 wire but there’s 10 in the harness and only 9 in wire short a wire for the positive or ground

I'm from Akron Ohio the guy I bought that plug n play harness from can be found at the email address I left in the description of the video! He is legit. He also has his own KZbin channel. I've had some people told me that they've emailed him and he hasn't responded back. So I'm not sure if that's still the case. But if you don't want to purchase the harness, you can splice into the color-coded wiring underneath the dashboard but it will void your warranty if anything goes wrong

So I got a question? I hooked up the wires like to the factory amp already, put both the blue and tan inlets into the factory amp and they also had the rca input and outputs with it, so I just ran the wires all the way to the amp and everything works until 10-30 seconds later when the music is playing it cuts out and I have no clue why? Curious to why it does that and I don’t know if the factory amp is not strong enough or what. If there’s an easier way to contact you I would appreciate it.

@@i_josh_smith_tech I ran the wires from the factory amp, but it had the rca box connected to it and the blue radio wire, so those went all the way from the factory amp to the actual amp in the back

You'll need any 6.5 inch door speaker doesn't matter what brand. Also they make harnesses that clip right into the factory door wiring as well as mounting brackets

It depends on what you put in it. My setup sounds premium and clear. I don't got a whole lot of rattling just because I'm doing one subwoofer but if you did two subwoofers yes you'd probably get a bunch of rattling. So if you want to go for more base, that's what you're most likely get. But if you want just a premium sounding stereo no no rattling

On mine there is a setting in the head unit. If you have the stock one still where you can turn down the chime noise like you can turn it all the way down to where it makes no noise. I'm not sure if that turns down the turn signal blinking. Mine does that too but it's no louder than it ever had been. You got to think your amplifying the signal

Which main wires?? Your speakers may be thumping due to the active noise cancellation that is built into the vehicle known as ANC. If that is indeed what it is, the easiest thing for you to do is those little microphones that are up in the top of your headliner. You need to either splice or disconnect one of those and it should do away with the thumping

Yes there is a small nut under the hood just to the left of the fuse panels that you can bolt the power wire directly into that way you don't have to attach directly to the battery itself because if you recall the battery is covered almost to where you can't get to it!! The wires you are looking for are not plugged directly into the back of the head unit. They are actually down underneath the dashboard by the control module

I have a 2018 Chevy Malibu Lt and I’ve gone to 7 different guys and they fail to succeed this installment due to every auto stop I make it shortens something and the system turn off and also it kills my batteries for some reason even when it’s off. I’m not so sure what the first guy did but ive gave up and I’ve unplugged everything

Well number one if you do have auto start stuff which most of the vehicles do. As soon as that vehicle shuts off the battery shuts off which then is going to kill your amplifiers. The newer ones including mine have a switch to turn that feature off which is what I have to do every time I start the vehicle. Your battery shouldn't be dying though they must not have installed it correctly so that your amplifiers are shutting off when you shut the car off.
