I'm really glad to see you test the ZVX8. I have had a pair since 2016 and they are still tight as hell. They play rock music and stuff with kick drums really well. I look forward to the free air test.

I have 2 of these in a prefab box. No modification necessary. Dropped right in. Maybe 1/16 to spare. Not tight. The box is made by skar audio though. Under seat box for 15-23 f-150. I slightly altered the box. Changed tune to 34. Plays 28-60 really solid. I have it on a JL audio hd 1200/1. Not enough power but sounds very good imo.

Only thing with those zvx 8 is the dust cap is orone to blow off, similar to skar evl series. I recommend gluing washers on the cone before regluing the dust cap to give it more mass and lower the FS.

I've got a skar 10inch sub well over 5 years and this thing can literally take a beating and it's still stiff. I'm only giving it 400 RMS which is well under the rated power but it gives me a deep punchy bass. For the price it's a somewhat cheap well built sub.

Just wanted to comment on the zvx8. I put 2 of these d2 in my son's Honda about 3 years ago. They have had 4k watts rms. 2 apcle 2k strapped. Tuned to 32hz by me. Never clipped them. They literally beat the car apart. No one believed it was just 8s. When he sold the car I pulled them. They are loose now but still playing hard on taramps HD 3k 2ohm. I'm putting 4 d2 in a yaris now on a taramps b5k. Can't wait to see what they do in a 6 cube box. Anyway nice review. Keep bassin.

So I have 2) svr8d4 wired at 1 ohm in an under seat front fire truck box in a 08 Silverado crew cab with the skar 800.1 I just ordered 2) zvx8d2 and the rp.2000.1 . . I was thinking about doing 4) 8’s . If I don’t like the way the zvx8’s I’m probably going to do the SVR8d4 if I do 4 of them .

I just got a pair of these in my wife’s Yukon xl. They get pretty damn low to the point of where it’s not even a sound just a feeling. Not really punchy but very clean and the drops are crisp. Gonna upgrade the head unit from that old navigation 2013 setup to a massive 7 inch. That’s Bose system will sound like a band inside that cab.
