Excellent, this series is awesome. Living legend and full deserved. Can't tell you how much Dressen meant to me as an inspiration during the early 90s and beyond, absolutely loved his style. Seeing ED and Salba together on the team is still so sick, always a must-watch. Can't wait for this one SC!!🔥🔥🔥❤🛹🛹🛹👍🙏

Eric is the raddest. So honored to have filmed and edited his first two parts in Speed Freaks and Risk It. Shooting with him was always a next level experience due to his speed and power and he was also doing the newest tricks and even inventing NBDs. His skill was only matched by his humility. This wonderful video captured that. Thank you!

Rowley is absolutely right. Dressen got me stocked to go skateboarding and he also makes me proud being a skateboarder until i die or at least until i cant walk by myself anymore. "Riding a skateboard doesnt make you a skateboarder. Unable to stop riding a skateboard does." -lance mountain... that Quote perfectly discribes Eric Dressens vibe for me

In a time where skaters were labelled miniramp or vert or street back in the late 80s/early 90's you had Eric Dressen, who was just a skater. I still have the 90 ever slick that Rowley mentioned on my wall. I had a couple of them back at that time. Eric was doing shuv in and out on street back then, and nose blunt slides, he was not super technical, but for me the difference was he was doing everything 5 or 6 push, full speed, i learnt impossibles almost straight as they hit on street, but my goal was always to do one flat out like Dressen. He's humble as hell, he follows people on insta, then actually comments or likes stuff that isnt tagging him, hes there for the love of skating, not for clout. Hand on heart my fav skater

Excellent film on Eric Dressen. I am Alva’s age and still have all my skateboarder magazine issues from like 77 onward. So great he has stuck with it through good and bad. Great to see Alva still in the mix too, a lot of legends in this film. I remember seeing Dressen Alva, Peralta and all the legends in that mag, never forget your roots. Need reminders like this to keep skating and not wave the white flag. This took me back through all the memories and experiences through the decades. This series by Santa Cruz has been excellent.

Dude is an inspiration style pioneer right up there with JAYBOY for me. I cant help but carve and use every curb cut and crack/slab of concrete to the fullest when i skate and not think of ERIC once ive come to know his skating&story. A true definition of redeemed and one with god and all that is peaceful and pure. With his skating never resembling anything BUT that purity and greatness. Something about skaters that are an inspiration on and off a skateboard that really defines what they represent to skateboarding that has me owing nothing but respect as someone thats only recently heard of him in the last 5 years. To see all of his style trickled down into the skaters ive grown up idolizing even to his story crossing over to a guy that i love like reynolds and his 5-0 grinds and own struggles with addiction and a path to redemption and passion for skating. Im glad NHS/Santacruz made this and offers more insight to his personality and how it defines his STYLE as a skater and further more into who he is as a person to this day. Glad Skating is still able to provide for him on a level financially for his eternal contribution to skateboarding. It doesnt really get better than this as a fan/skate nerd. Just the type of skater that makes you want to go fast throw your hands up above your waist/shoulders and chase the stoke around every corner/piece of surface you can ride. As a cali boy myself i cant help but NEED to take a piece of that into my skating or feel what that is like as an embodiment to true skating or CALI/SPEED is style or w.e you want to call it. To have a standard to strive for or aim for let alone on and off the board. Henry Pstone Phelps ETC skating forever dont stop loving what drives you and keeps you juiced; that stoke is just around the corner

This is so awesome. Easy E in SPEEDFREAKS was way old when I got into it but we always paid HOMAGE to the old guys and videos. I was of the era that only had what we could build to skate or find. NYC Was the epicenter of street skating back then (1986) in my world. I couldn’t afford to go to California ,Ground Zero for skating but we charged anyway. Easy E Dressen was one of my hero’s. I’d watch him power slide all the time. Used to get me so amped. Cheers to you Eric. Much loved dude.
