My brother introduced me to this album and I immediately bought the vinyl from Something To Do Records. I love Enemy You. Listening to an early David Jones, and hearing these less apathic songs pre-Enemy You kinda makes me sad. RIP David Jones.

#10 The Lottery - In high school I remember reading the story "The Lottery" right after this Album came out...it really connected the dots for me back then, great time to grow up...it's different now days. This song came back up a few years ago when I first watched the movie Hunger games...they used the lottery as the basis of the story.

The vocals are all done by the band. I have the 7 inch and it states all vocals by after school special. One of the guys sings that high tone on a few songs. Great band.

It’s David singing the high octave parts

I "interviewed" the bass player years ago and asked him about it, and he confirmed that it is David doing those parts. Here's what he had to say about that: "Haha, ya a lot of people have thought/asked about that. It's actually David singing those parts - we had to slow the tapes down so he could sing that high, and when it played back at normal speed it sounded like we had some special female guest vocalist."
