Emerica Wino slip-cups could be a better slip-on. They're a cupsole slip-on with G6 foam which I've heard good things about. Unfortunately, I can't say much since I haven't tried a pair but they look pretty interesting

Those falls looked nasty! I've got the Emerica x Toy Machine Winos. Super comfortable cupsole with some nice grip . That being said, i prefer the laces as well. And much love for the Ben Degros salute!

I can’t skate in slip ons either. And as I get older a cup sole is more appealing. Currently I’m skating the Vans BMX Old Skool. Classic look but a cup sole protection

Slip ons have always been too tight for me. But usually I tie my shoes in such a way that all my shoes are slip ons 😂😂. That being said my go to's right now are the Adidas Nora or NB# 440s.

Hey I would try the Emerica G6 wino slip ons paired with some FP insoles that has been my shoe set up for a min and they work well for me I can’t skate stock insoles or the soles of my feet will be screaming at me. Emerica does also offer a Cupsole version of their slip on as well I use the fp insoles King foam orthotics which are a 5MM insole but they also make thicker ones that might suit you well if you’re dealing with sore feet they are very much worth it imo I’ve also used FP’s in Nike blazers, Cons one stars, and a couple of other shoes and they worked well For me

Check out the emerica wino g6, slipcup and globe dover. Those are the better slip on in the market right now. I tried them all and they are all good options.the emerica Slip cup is the best if you need that additional cushion support of a cupsole.

I’m just gonna stick with what works for me I think. I really wanted to be a slip on guy but I’m kinda over it. I love them for daily use but for skating I think I’ve dialed in what I need in a shoe.

Yeah the board is holding up nicely! The tail still feels a bit “flexy” when I land weird and I always think I broke it but so far it’s been a great board, especially for the price. Apparently the new Asics drop (they’re doing drops I guess) is happening on the 12th 😍

Dude I need to update this review because if you replace the insoles they’re seriously one of the best skate shoes if you like low profile vulc shoes. I think they discontinued them because they’re all on sale and sizes are limited but I could be wrong

You should try out the Straye Venturas! Vans slipon silhouette, but a bit wider toe and a better insole for skateboarding, and they have some decent colorways at mad decent prices.

@@dadboard I was super disappointed when they redid the Vans slip on’s… they made them unconditionally tight, no matter how much you break em in. It’s hard finding that balance between good board feel/ durability/ comfort in a slip on. And I think you’re right, you’re either a slip on guy or not… I’ve been on slip on’s for like 7-8 years now. My hands down favorite pair was the Huf Dylan slip on’s. I skated through a few pairs of those….

Brutha Ben , love your channel. I was curious if you were having the same problem and/or foot pain. Im hating the "skate/skateboard " Vans. When I see the freakin the black/white check tag on Vans _ my feet begin to ache. Actually, the only pain im experiencing is the left shoe _ and the pain is on the outside of my foot , right where the bone curves. Ive bought slip ons/ era's/hi''s and each pair of these "skate vans' shoes causes the same pain on my left foot. The only pair from this kind of Vans that doesn't bother me is The Grosso mids. Unfortunately i cant in this shoe due to too much shoe .. If you can find the Vans slip ons and i think they are considered Classics. It has the Pop cush insole and the tag on the shoe( this for the b/w check slipons) is not the black and white check _ instead the tag that has vans written in blue. If u can find this particular vans slip ons. I promise u will love them. Guaranteed... hope to hear from you and apologize for any typos.. im going through some struggles _ attempting to make a couple boards from start to finish including screen printing graphics.... Learning on the fly and ive made every possible F-up one can making skateboards...aite ...cheers... if u read this , it's the ultra cush slip ons.

the emerica winos or the strayes with the zero skull could be other options I bought the strayes with the zero skull mostly just for casual wear because they look awesome , personally I found the board hitting the top of my foot too much and they offer 0 protection there , so im back to skating chunky shoes .

I recently purchased two pairs of Globe Dover (Gillette) mid slip-ons. Nothing compares to those in style. Price Vs.Performance? I'm not a street skater but a 54 years old park rat :-) so for me, are more than ok. And yes, I also have FP insoles. They last much more than the shoe so they worth it.

FP’s we’re ok, I think they lasted me a few pairs of shoes before they had holes in them around the toe area. I also didn’t notice a huge improvement and they made my shoes blow out faster because they’re so bulky

I found the vans pro slipon way tighter at the instep than the normal vans slipon, I like the sticking on the toebox on emerica vulc slipons but they're also very tight at the instep on me, seems I'm not a slipon shaped foot guy

Had a pair of the matchourt slipons wayback. They were canvas with a toecap. No shoe have lasted me that long. The only reason i stopped skating them was because they started to get insanely dirty after 5 months

Seeing that close call with the knee, curious if you ever considered wearing any protective gear? I tore my ACL on a dumb fall like that when I was younger. Around your age now and I always wear knee gear, just can't afford to be out for months at this point in my life.

For me pads just get in the way and make movement limited which I feel is more dangerous. They do have something called covert pads by triple8 which helped me when I was relearning how to ride a skateboard again. I recommend those if you’re relearning how to fall or just like the confidence you get from having protection.

I have been eyeing these for some time, but adidas (not slip ons) never agree with the width of my feet. What size vans/other shoes do u wear and what size are these adidas slip ons? do u find them to have narrow or wide fit?

It’s so weird but certain skate shoes fit so differently I have to try them on before ordering. I’m a 10.5 in every shoe I’ve ever worn but then randomly I’ll be a 10 in specific models. I hate how inconsistent it can be

I just started skating the buzenitz Vulc. Best shoe I’ve tried so far, but the insole is too thin. And the sizing is weird. You HAVE to try them on before you buy. I wanna try the Jamie foy new balance 306 next. Neither shoe is a slip on but the buzenitz feels like a slip on with laces for extra support

I had the Busenitz vulc a while back and wasn’t a fan. For me the pro version is top 3 but the vulcs just felt like an entirely different shoe, also they fit big on me for some reason so I had to tie them like footballs lol

Stretching is a must before and after. Foam roller and theragun have been amazing.
