That temptation sound signature tho 🤣 Next matchup, I would recommend trying out the endless spells. Mirror is so good at stomping down wholly within 18 inches and bombing units with multiple D3s of either depravity or mortal wounds. Your opponent will have a harder time justifying the damage when it’s that much all at once.

Haha yeah I thought adding a custom Slaanesh sound would be fun! :P I did want to try some of the endless spells as I agree they're sweet - things just weren't working out to include one points-wise in list building.

Yooo, that Slaanesh army is Baller as hell. Looks AMAZING. Mortals are the best BTW, no shame in All Mortals. I was really thrown by that Temptation sound for a bit. XD Still love the Narrator, the sarcasm is palpable which is excellent. GG.

Agree with depravity being mor difficult against tough enemys but the temptation will hurt more against elite army's so you may see opponents giving depravity more than taking the mortals.

I feel your pain on this one Ridge. Had a very similar game 2 weeks ago where I miscast with the a warsong 2 turns in a row then proceeded to fail 4 9inch charges turn 1 and 4 5inch charges turn 2. We just called the game after that. Slaanesh is strong now and I'm excited to see them on the table, but now I want to see them put through a true test of strength. Can't wait for the next batrep.

A bit one sided 😅 Remember that Euphoric Killers is not about damage, but allocated wounds. Overkill prevents DP generation, but saves/wards do not. The slickblades might have generated even more.

Hi guys and thanks for your battle reports which are fast and super well commented in voice over. There is a mistake on the description of the contorted epidom spell "overwhelming acquiescience" it is not the re-roll of the one but a +1 hit for the units that will attack against this unit.

Ridge, you forgot to fight on death with the verminlord (twice)! It happens regardless of phase unlike most other fight on death mechanics in the game. Would have probably lifted both units of cavalry and prevented the battle tactic/thanquol dying

See that’s the beauty, it just says he can fight, there’s no 3” requirement. He can pile and fight once per death frenzy stack regardless of where he is. And with 3” melee range it’s a 9” bubble of almost guaranteed death. The one thing to note is that the devious adversary extra attacks is only combat phase, but still a solid number of attacks still rerolling to wound

OMG I didn't even think about that. I was just so defeated from failing all of those charges :( I literally did this with Rat Ogors yesterday in a game and knew you didn't have to be in combat. You are right, he would have killed the one unit of Cav or the hero and 4 Painbringers... Shit. I think I still lose but would have made for a much better game! Great catch man! I'm still learning/mastering the rats, such a fun techy army :)

Thank you for the excellent demonstration of Slaanesh! I wish Ridge better rolls than in this game. One technical mistake: according to the rules of the game, you cannot use heroic willpower to dispel geminids during an enemy turn

Prediction after turn 1: Love to see skaven on the board and they normally hard counter here because of the massive amount of mortal wounds a skaven army can output. With that said though Ridge's list is a lot more combat focused and we're down a unit of clanrats and rat ogres so itll be a tough one for the rats to come back from. My heart tells me vote for the skaven but i dont see them doing enough before getting crushed. With Slaanesh having a bunch of combat debuffs itll be a win for the pain boys

Sigvalt cant dispell the geminids in the enemy turn with heroic will power can only unbind a spell. Don't know if it makes a diffrence.

Many say slaanesh is busted broken and op. And while I personally dislike their new abilities fluff wise. (Imho nurgle should play with passives this) I think it's okay. Their warscrolls still cost a decent amount of points. Their hammer units are fragile or need command trait+artefact and can then still be easily shot or killed. They will suffer from alpha strikes, heavy shooting or spells and maybe even combat armies with wards like fyreslayers or nurglelists who can hold their ground on the obj and shrug off the temptationdice mortals. I'm not saying they suck. Its a very strong book. But there are weaknesses. Let ridge get his charge rolls and get the iniative on turn 3 and the battle looks quite different.

HoS are VERY strong against melee armies in general. Shooting/magic heavy armies are going to be tough for them. Very tech heavy army.

Sigvald couldn't dispel the Geminids on Skaven T2. You can only dispel in your turn and unbind in the enemy's turn.

You can dispel at the start of any hero phase. Core Rules 19.3.2 Dispelling Endless Spells At the start of the hero phase, each player can attempt to dispel 1 endless spell with each friendly WIZARD and friendly PRIEST. The player whose turn is taking place makes all of their dispelling attempts first. If a WIZARD attempts to dispel an endless spell, they can attempt to cast or unbind 1 fewer spell in that hero phase. If a PRIEST attempts to dispel an endless spell, they can chant 1 fewer prayer in that hero phase. The same player cannot attempt to dispel the same endless spell more than once per phase

@Greg Flowers Sigvald is not a Wizard, therefore he had to perform the Heroic Action Heroic Willpower. This has limitations around when you can dispel and when you can unbind.

It's hard because I rarely see them win, ever. Even at a personal level : when I play against them, I usually win. When I play them, I usually lose. And it's not a very old battletome, that's the scariest part. Too costy units for what they do, no high risk high reward : the unreliability isn't even paying enough when it spikes.

It just really feels bad because it can be something as simple as positioning will lose you the game. There's no room for error, play perfect or lose

new slanesh is too op, mechanic is busted, 12 mortals or 20points every turn as pasive is bonkers. feels like 1mortal per dice and d3 points would be more balanced, and way too much -armor stacking and too easy to get bonus to hit and wound, cryes in idoneth where every aura has like 100 restrictitions even for a measly bonus to hit

I agree IDK rules are too harshly written, but Slaanesh is a lot more fragile than even IDK imo. I think IDK could punish these guys with balanced builds simply because we control their shooting targets & will easily shred blissbarbs!

New slanesh book is busted,units undercosted by 30 points as blisbarbs archers,op buff and debuffs very easy to get as a -2 save or -2 hit. Also is a joke as in turn 2 you can have maxed his passive to do slanesh the supposed glash canon army in one of the tankiest army of entire aos with -1 hit a 5++. Seriously this book seems even more broken than goblins

Played against it the other day, lost and was pretty miserable to play against the whole time. That -1 to get hit globally at a mere 12 depravity alone is game ruining. They ran a subfaction that let multiple heroes use heroic actions, so was constantly bombarded with -1 saves. Constantly had to ask "How many points are they?", because they were obliterating units nearly double their cost in melee.

Personally didnt enjoy the tempation sound. Its too "sex" orientated and not really tempation. Maybe a voice recording with a sultry voice saying "come here"? Idk just feels a bit uncomfortable as well since its your wife's voice. I really like the sound effects otherwise, dont take them away and having your kid in the videos is sweet, i cant wait to play warhammer with my boy

I wasn't paying close attention, but you can only offer temptation dice to each unit once per phase, I think I saw you hit the same unit several times in one phase.
